Chapter 24: Into the Unown

 In a dark control room somewhere, a man in a suit sat in a chair with a Persian sitting beside him.

"So, they've found the ruins," he said in a low, sinister voice. "Perfect! They've led us right to the stone! Now is the time to send in my associates."

Persian looked up and trilled as it licked its paws.

"Once the Trinity Stone is in our grasp, there will be no stopping Team Rocket!"

"Boss!" a pair of voices yelled.

The man turned around angrily. "What is it now? You fools better have a good reason for barging in here!"

There stood Jessie, James, and Meowth.

"We've had our fair share of battles, and we're gonna make sure those twerps don't find the stone!" Jessie said.

"They won't be able to get past us now that our own Pokemon have evolved!" James added.

"What do you mean?"

"Thanks to Commander Proton, we have the experience necessary!" James explained.

The Commander entered the room. "Giovanni, sir! You called?"

"Yes! But before I give you my orders, show me that you've whipped these two nimrods into shape!"

"Not a problem!" Jessie threw a PokeBall into the air. "Ekans is now....Arbok!"

Out came a large purple cobra-like Pokemon. "Chhharrrrrrr-bok!" it hissed.

"And Koffing is now...Weezing!" James cried, tossing a PokeBall of his own.

It popped open, and there was a Pokemon floating in midair that looked like two Koffing fused together. "Weee-zing!" it groaned.

Giovanni nodded. "I see. Well then, you two had better not fail me! I'll be expecting that Trinity Stone back here before sundown!"

Commander Proton nodded. "The Rocket Grunts are already on their way, sir. We'll be joining them shortly as soon as we arrive."

"Good! Now go!"

The three villains and their Pokemon left the room, and got into a helicopter that was powered by a pump and a bicycle. Jessie sat at the front, and grabbed the controls, James got on the bicycle, and Meowth headed towards the pump.

"Alright, Team Rocket!" Jessie called "Full power!"

"Aye aye, captain!" James and Meowth chorused.

Commander Proton stood at the top, using a pair of binoculars to navigate. "South by southwest!" he shouted. "Let's get a move on!"

Meowth started pumping the pump, and James started pedaling the bicycle as fast as he could. Jessie looked ahead as she grabbed the steering wheel. The helicopter took off, and they were off to the ruins to catch up with the Rocket Grunts.

Meanwhile, the gang had just entered the ruins and were all gazing around in awe, wondering which way to go. That's when they noticed that the walls were covered in some sort of strange carvings. They looked like a strange type of alphabet, but with eyes. The Pokemon were all wandering around, taking a look at these odd symbols.

"Pi, pika?" Pikachu questioned, looking at Eevee.

"Vee!" Eevee replied, staring at the symbols in confusion.

"Brrrrreee!" Togepi squealed.

"Piplup," Piplup said.

"What did you guys find?" Huck asked. He then looked at the symbols on the walls. "Hmmmm...these look pretty strange, don't they?"
