Hyunjin exited the estate by himself for the first time while his maid was on leave. He knelt to open the hefty iron gate that appeared difficult to lift. It took him a while, but he eventually made it outside without being detected. He wanted to see whether there was a lake near the mansion where he could have fallen, but it was difficult to avoid people's stares once he was outside. As the employees stared at him and whispered about him, he sought to hide his tiny figure behind the bushes while running for the backyard. The backyard was connected to the woods, and as he walked around, he found himself inside the woods but there was no sign of any lakes. Hyunjin exhaled with frustration. Despite the fact that he had walked thus far, it simply seemed to get larger. That is, until he heard the sound of breaking dry leaves behind him. It was a familiar face he saw when he turned back.

"What are you doing here?" Elyot asked.

"Nothing. I was getting bored in my room. Why are you here, young lord?" Hyunjin asked.

"So was I, so I came to hunt." Elyot gripped his gun to show it off to Hyunjin as he grinned.

"Aren't you still a child? How can you be allowed to use it?" Hyunjin was surprised by the blonde young duke's words. If it was in his time his parents would be questioned already.

"I am not a child." Elyot scoffed.

"You're just my age so you're a child."

"So you admit you're a child?" Elyot smirked. "Also, I'm not your age I'm at least five years older than you." Elyot said as he rolled his eyes. Hyunjin thought he was just a child like him but didn't expect him to be five years older than him. It felt unfair to him to be younger than someone who was originally younger than him.

"It is what it is." Hyunjin sighed.

"What does that mean?" Elyot asked.

"It's a phrase that goes by. Have you not heard about it?" Hyunjin asked him back.

"No, not at all. Also, the way you talk is very different, almost uncanny. Is it because you are an easterner? I do not think you know English that well, you speak it very abnormally." Elyot said as he crossed his arms.

"Maybe."

"See? I have never seen someone speak English so informally before. So if you have lost your memories did you forget how to talk as well?" Elyot mocked. Hyunjin stayed quiet as he didn't find it amusing.

"Do you want me to tell you the truth?" Hyunjin said.

"You are also keeping secrets? Does my master know?"

"I've only known him for a few days." Hyunjin laughed. "You might think I'm insane but the truth is, I'm not a person from this world." Hyunjin finished and Elyot immediately started laughing on his highest pitch.

"Oh, so you do know how to make jokes. How fascinating." Elyot said as he took a long breath. Hyunjin merely sighed, knowing Elyot wouldn't believe him, but he just wanted him to be gone from his sight after hearing something ridiculous, which didn't happen. "I like you, Samuel de Croix, we should be good friends." Elyot smiled.

Hyunjin was exhausted after chatting to such an enthusiastic teen; he was on his way to find a lake when Elyot appeared like a nagging interruption that wouldn't go away easily. He only sighed and headed back towards the mansion; the sun was setting and if he stayed in the woods any longer, he wouldn't be able to return.

"Hey, what is that behaviour? Your superior is behind you." Elyot yelled as he ran to catch up to Hyunjin. Hyunjin shook his head in disbelief without saying anything. He'd just added another complication to his already chaotic life.
