I can't believe I'm already at the 9th chapter 😭😭😭😭 I hope I keep up with this pace for the rest of the story!!!

"The young master is back!" A worker shouted as soon as Hyunjin was seen inside the residence, the situation became very busy all of a sudden. The only difference was Hyunjin was then able to understand what they are saying because he had mastered the language already. Hyunjin sighed because he wanted to avoid this by coming earlier in the morning but that wasn't possible after all. After he was welcomed inside Lord Nicholas and Lady Parnelle came rushing inside the guest room with them being followed by a young boy who was trying to hide behind Lady Parnelle.

"Samuel.... What a pleasant surprise..." Lord Nicholas said walking towards the younger who flashed a smile.

"Have you been well?" Hyunjin could only word before he was engulfed into an embrace.

"Welcome home, son." Lord Nicholas smiled, he looked old unlike how he looked when Hyunjin left the home eleven years ago. Infact everyone aged, except for the manor, it stood still just like before. "Meet your brother, this is Simon." Lord Nicholas directed towards the young boy who was trying to hide behind his mother.

"Hello there, I'm Samuel." Hyunjin smiled.

"He-hello!" Simon said before going into total hiding.

"He is just shy around new people, do not worry he is a very nice child." Lady Pernelle said which Hyunjin smiled at. He wasn't worried at all because in his thought he would only see this child for the first and the last time, it would be better if they didn't know each other at all so there wouldn't be any attachment issues.  Hyunjin was shown to his room soon which looked the same as he left it, nothing had changed not even a thing was misplaced.

"Welcome back, young master." A familiar voice spoke as he stepped into his room and he turned around to find Helen, who was a grown up lady by then. Hyunjin felt nostalgic but he knew this feeling wouldn't stay long. He felt fatigued from the long journey so he soon found himself on the bed.

"I will skip lunch. I will be up for dinner, please let me know." Hyunjin said before directly going to sleep.

The sun had already set by the time he was up, Hyunjin stretched his arms walking towards the restroom. Looking at the huge mirror inside he realised he was finally turning into the guy he was before, he was already pretty tall and his face looked gorgeous even though his hair made him look young. After he freshened himself he reached out for the bookshelves and that's when Helen knocked on the door saying it was time for dinner. Hyunjin left the book on the bedside table and ran through his suitcase to find something to wear that's presentable. In the last few years all that he had worn were robes.

The dinner table seemed to have changed instead of three there were four chairs open then. Simon who was sitting beside his mother immediately clutched on Lady Parnelle's clothes as Hyunjin entered the dinning hall, even though Hyunjin noticed that he stayed silent and didn't pay the boy any attention. The dinner stayed short for Hyunjin as he didn't eat much, he shortly said good night and went back to his room. The moon looked beautiful and Hyunjin thought it was a nice time for a walk outside but he'd rather stay in for that night. He walked into the balcony that was open from his room and found the huge land of daisy right beside his room, which seemed like only the flowers changed within the mansion. Suddenly the balcony reminded him of Christopher he had met at the Halet's place.
'He's probably married with a few kids my now.' Hyunjin thought as he laughed.

The next few days were busy for Hyunjin as Lord Nicholas was constantly making him go places with him to socialise. Even though he hadn't come of age yet Lord Nicholas was eager to show him off to his noble friends. So even if Hyunjin didn't like the idea of socialising, he didn't have a chance with his excited father. In such a social gathering after meeting every noble he was found in the lounge alone charging himself. He shifted all his weight on the couch closing his eyes as he sighed.

"Maybe it was a bad idea to come back after all." He spoke out loud as he thought there was no one around.

"You thought?" A deep voice spoke and Hyunjin immediately sat still, when the curtains were removed Hyunjin saw who it was. "I heard everyone saying the young master of de Croix was back. Now I see it was true." Elyot was standing in front of Hyunjin in flesh while his jaw dropped low. " Close your mouth." Elyot chuckled.

"Wow....what happened to you?" Hyunjin said as Elyot tilted his head in question. "No, like...you used to be so small now..... you're so huge, like a man." Hyunjin was still stunned.

"Talk about yourself." Elyot laughed. "You were a child, you should not be saying that about me at least."

"No, I mean.... nevermind, you are right." Hyunjin sighed in defeat. "You even sound like a man."

"I do not know what you expected." Elyot said while taking a seat beside Hyunjin. "You have changed as well, though the only thing that has not changed is your behaviour, you are still very casual towards me." Elyot mocked.

"I have not met a noble in the last eleven years, my communication skills have rather deteriorated." Hyunjin explained.

"I do not expect you to be formal towards me either, you do not even mean it." Elyot said, as Hyunjin simply rolled his eyes. "How have you been?"

"Thought you would never ask."

"Surprise~."

"I have been well."

"I see."

"How about you?"

"Thought you would not ask."

"Seriously?"

"Relax, relax I am joking." Elyot laughed as he light patted Hyunjin on his back. "I have been well, just more busy. If you are aware, my father is bed ridden so you could hear of me being the head of the house anytime." Elyot sadly smiled.

"I am sorry to hear that."

"No, no, it is inevitable."  Elyot sighed. "Also, I am sorry." Elyot added as Hyunjin just looked at him with confusion in his eyes. "For not checking up on you....for all these years." Elyot explained.

"That is nothing, what could you do about it anyways."

"A lot. Maybe send a healer when you were injured at the borders."

"Wow...you knew? Even my father did not."

"You are still taking me lightly, huh?" Elyot scoffed.

"Nah, it is just that, I did not expect you to know of all people."

"I watch over the royal army." Elyot said as Hyunjin mouthed wow. "But you would not know, you were never interested in me."

"Hey, hey, do not be like that, I was already preoccupied." Hyunjin tried to explain.

"Right......but you were already healed, I do not know how you did that, you are very powerful now." Elyot said before the room fell silent as Hyunjin had nothing he could say. "I felt guilty for speaking to you like that at the Halet's party. After that I tried to reach you but suddenly you had already left for the mage tower, which I thought would be the last place you will enter. Then I felt guilty for hurting a child for years." Elyot mocked at himself. "And I could not reach you anyways."

"Seriously? Wow, you had a huge misunderstanding then. I was never hurt by your words, I rather felt I was harsh towards you." Hyunjin finally said that left Elyot speechless.

"You are telling me I was misunderstanding things?" Elyot facepalmed as Hyunjin patted him on the back laughing. "I am such a fool."

"Well that has been cleared out."

"Let me compensate for that,  you have anything on your mind you want to do?"

"No."

"Seriously? You did not think of anything after coming back?"

"Well..... I have not told anyone, I am going back to the mage tower in four days and this is the last time I come here."

A lot of fillers 🤡🤡🤡
