Y/n's panicked sleep, clenching onto the bedsheets as another nightmare takes over their head.

They spring up out of their sleep and pant as they sit up and look frantically around the room. Whatever must have been the conflict in the dream wasn't there, but y/n's mind was still racing.

They rubbed their eyes and sat at the edge of the bed after pacing, trying to get the image and memory out of their head. That is until despite him being a heavy sleeper, Nico right beside them woke up.

"Babycakes, everything okay..?" He rubbed his eyes, half asleep.

Y/n tapped their foot against the ground.

"Yeah, I'm fine"

Y/n spoke in a quivery voice. Nico raised an eyebrow.

"Well, you don't look fine. Well- I mean, not in the usual sense."

"I just had a freaky dream, that's all"

Nico's expression changed from playful to serious.

"Was it about...?"

He sat at the edge of the bed with y/n and wrapped his arm around them.

"Yeah.."

Nico looked down. He wanted to help so bad. He always hated seeing y/n like this. Scared and upset about past events. He then wrapped both of his arms around y/n and cradled them, bridle style.

"Well I ain't just gonna let you sit here tremblin' honey" he sat back with y/n in his arms with a more warm smile on.

Y/n looked surprised.

"Hon, you don't need to do this" y/n tried to wriggle out of Nico's arms, but it seemed to be worthless.

"I know :)" he smiled and started getting back under the covers.

Despite their reassurance, nico didn't seem to want to let y/n go anytime soon. The two cuddled the rest of the night.
