My Promise For You | Fred Weasley

Chapter 2:

I'm going to sleep in Ginny's room with her and Hermione. The three of us are sitting and talking on her bed.

"Sooo Gin, how are you and Harry?" Hermione asks her.

Ginny sighs and says "Don't even start with that. I feel like he doesn't even notice me."

I know that Ginny lives this situation really badly so I answer her "Don't worry about it for now, he'll figure it out eventually.". I try to lighten the mood but Ginny decided to take her revenge and asks "What about you and Ron, Hermione ?".

I carefully watch her reaction and can see that she's blushing.

Hermione try to keep her composure but we know her. She answers "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Oh really? You don't see?" I say to try to make her confess her feelings.

"I could ask you the same thing with Fred". She answers me. The two girls start laughing when they see my face. I didn't really expect her to ask me that question.

"Stop, you know very well that it's different for me. You know that he will never see me like that." Saying this out loud is harder than I thought.

"I really don't understand why you're not talking to him honestly. You might be surprised." Hermione told me.

I don't want to continue this discussion so I end it by saying "No I don't want to tell him anything... let's stop talking about that. We should rather rest because we have to wake up early tomorrow". And with that I lay down.

The Morning After

"Wake up, we have to leave soon!" Ginny shakes me.

"Yeah I'm coming." I tell her and after some moments I realize that there is only me in the room. I get up and walk into the bathroom. After taking my shower, I get dressed and take care of my hair. I decide to tie them up and go join the others in the living room.

"Hello everybody!" I hear hellos here and there.

"Hello Mayline, did you sleep well?"

"Yes Mrs Weasley, even though Ginny snores a lot" I laugh softly.

"It's wrong, I don't snore!" Ginny yells from the kitchen.

"Go take some cake and go join the others y'all  going to leave in a moment."

"Thank you Mrs Weasley". I head to the kitchen and take a bit of cake and some tea. Ron and Harry joins me.

"Hi boys, you're ready for today?"

"Definitely, I can't wait to see Victor Krum in action!" says Ron with a bright smile.

"And you Harry?"

"Yes! Even if I don't know very much about the teams I can't wait to see that" Harry answers me excitedly.

"Everyone? We're going, follow me" says Mr Weasley.

We say goodbye to Mrs Weasley and folllow Mr Weasley out of the house. I walk alongside Fred and George.

"Hi guys!"

"Hey May, ready to see the most important game of our lives?" said George as he put his arm on my shoulders.

"More than ready! Do you have any idea who will win?" I turn my head to look at him.

"Of course we know! Ireland will win but ...  "

"Victor Krum will catch the golden snitch" Fred finished his sentence.
