My Promise For You | Fred Weasley

Chapter 7:

The day after

Silence reigns in the room, the curtains are still closed and I am in my deepest sleep. When screams are heard and a weight lands on me. I jolt awake and find that Fred has jumped into my bed while George has done the same with Kathleen.

"GET UP girls!" the two boys screams.

"I'm going to kill you George!" exclaims Kathleen.

"Oops, I think someone called me dowstairs!" and with that George rushes out of the room.

"Fred, I can't breath!" I try to tell him but he just laughs.

"Come eat, May! We're waiting for you with George downstairs" he says and gets up.

I then take my cushion and throw it at him, he dodges it and leaves the room. I sigh loudly and turn to look at Kathleen. She's under her duvet again and I notice that Jessica isn't in her bed.

"Come on Kath, they're right we have to get up".

We get ready and I take my things for DADA class. Kathleen and I walk down the stairs and into the common room. We don't see Fred and George so we decide to go straight to the Great Hall. Arrived there I realize that Fred, George and Lee are already at the table with Jessica.

We walk towards them and Kathleen stands behind George. "If you do that again I swear I'll get my revenge!" she says to him calmly while holding him by the nape of the neck. Everyone can't help but laugh when they see George's scared expression.

"Hello everyone!" I say and take a seat next to Jessica and Kathleen sits next to Lee.

"Why didn't you wait for us?" I ask looking at Fred and George.

"Uh, we met Jessica in the common room and she asked us to accompany her" Fred replies, rubbing his neck.

"Oh, ok I see" I replied and started serving me.

"Yes, I was really too hungry and I didn't want to go alone" adds Jessica enthusiastically. I look at her and nod my head with a small smile.

"So what class do you have this morning?" asks Lee.

"We all have DADA Lee, with the Ravenclaws today" Kathleen replies.

"How do you think the class with the new teacher will be?" I ask.

"I don't know but I have a feeling he's going to surprise us!" replies George.

"Yes, a class with THE Mad-eye Moody, it looks promising!" adds Fred.

Everyone's breakfast is over, we head to the classroom. George, Fred and Lee take their usual places at the back of the class. While Kathleen, Jessica and I sit in the row directly in front of them.

Alastor Moody enters and everyone falls silent. "I'm not here to teach you useless subjects like some of my predecessors. But to teach you how to really defend yourself against dark magic!" he says while writing on the board "Unforgivable Spells".

When the two words were visible, all the students looked at each other as if we didn't see right.

"We're not really going to practice them sir?" said a frightened Ravenclaw student.

"How else would you learn to protect yourself from it!" replied the professor. "Alright, start by naming them!"

Alicia Spinnet raised her hand and said "There's the cruciatus spell sir".

"Yes, a spell that could inflict the worst pain. Next?"

Roger Davies, a Ravenclaw student raised his hand and replied "There's the imperium spell".
