WHISPERS OF THE NEWFOUND 'KING BILLY' followed Dani throughout her classes for the rest of the day, dismissed once the buzzing of the bell was heard throughout the school. The hushed murmurs and excited whispers accompanied her as she navigated the crowded hallways, students buzzing with anticipation over Billy's newfound status. Leaving the people to their enthusiasm, the redhead made her way to the gym, the echoes of her footsteps reverberating against the walls of the corridor.
As she approached the gym, Dani's senses were assaulted by the familiar scent of sweat and rubber that permeated the air. However, to her surprise, she found Steve waiting outside of the large building, his imposing figure leaning casually against the weathered brick wall. His brow was furrowed in concentration, his lips moving silently as he muttered to himself, lost in his own thoughts.
