Chapter 1- The Prophecy
A man walked swiftly down a snowy lane. He came across a tiny house and listened near the foggy window to hear what was going on inside. Silence was all he could hear for a moment, but then he heard a misty voice.
"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches,"The voice whispered. "And he shall have power that the Dark Lord knows not. For neither can live while the other survives. Also, there will be a girl born as the seventh month dies. Her part will be telling in the defeat of The Dark Lord because one of his own followers will ally with her."
The man leaned in to hear more, but suddenly the door swung open and a man with a long white beard came out.
"OI!"He shouted. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE,EH? GET OUT!!"
The door slammed shut and Severus Snape walked back down the path, ready to present the news to his master.

"My Lord,"I whispered. "I know you wish you deal with the boy and girl yourself, but would it be possible if... if you spared Lily Evans?"
Voldemort was silent for a moment, but then he smiled. "Very well, Severus,"He said. "I know how much you treasure her. I shall spare her."
"Thank you,"I said. "Thank you so much, My Lord."
I disapperated and went to Hogwarts. It was nighttime, and a white flash blinded me as I sank to my knees.
"No, don't kill me!"I exclaimed.
"That was not my intention,"Dumbledore's voice said. Dumbledore appeared in front of me on the rock we stood on. "The prophecy did not speak of a woman. It spoke of a boy and girl born at the July."
"Yes, but he thinks it's HER son and daughter," I protested. "Hide her. Hide them all."
Dumbledore thought for a moment. Finally- "What will you give me in exchange, Severus?"He asked.
"Tell me your price,"I replied.
"You will join the Order,"Dumbledore said.
"Don't cross me, Albus,"I said. Then I dissaperated.
There was no telling what the next 2 hours would bring.
