Violet's P.O.V

"Whoa," I said. "What just happened? Where are we?"

We stood in front of a building that said ' Leaky Caldron.' Snape smiled and pushed open the door. We went through the crowd of people, not trying to attract much attention. We got the other side of the place and stepped out to a wall. Snape took out something like a black stick and tapped it in a formation on the bricks. After a momentary pause, the bricks started to move and rearranged themselves to form an opening to an alley bustling with people.

"Welcome, Violet," Snape said. "To Diagon Alley."

It was amazing. I wished I had eight pairs of eyes to see everything there was to see. The Alley had tons of shops. People of all ages filled the street and seemed to all be going in different directions. Shops had names like Ollivanders, The Apothecary, Madam Malkin's, and a magical creature shop.

"First stop is Gringotts," Snape said. "The wizard bank. Everyone's money is kept here."

A huge white building stood in front of us. It had a golden sign on it that said ' Gringotts'. A sign was hung on the door.

"If you seek beneath our floors, a treasure that was never yours, thief you have been warned, beware, of finding more than treasure there," I read off, and shivered.

"You'd have to be mad to try and rob Gringotts," Snape said. We entered the building to see hundreds of creatures stamping and writing papers while they sat on huge desks that lined the isle we had to walk up to the head desk. Some creatures counted money and others sorted packages. It was just like a normal bank, except for the.... things.

"Um, Mr. Snape... uh, Severus... uh...." I stuttered. He hadn't told me how to address him.

"Severus will do for now," Snape replied. "But when we're in class, you must address me as Professor Snape."

I nodded. "Severus, what are these things?"

"Goblins, Violet," He said. "But clever as they come, they aren't the friendliest of beasts. Best to stay close." He offered his hand and I took it, smiling. The head goblin was huge and writing something. Snape coughed. The goblin didn't look up.

"Ms.Violet Potter wishes to make a withdrawal," He said.

The goblin looked up. "And does Ms. Violet Potter have her key?"

Snape handed a key to the head goblin and another goblin walked over to us.

"Griphook will assist you to the vaults," The head goblin said.

We followed Griphook, another goblin, to some sort of mine cart. We climbed in and the cart whooshed down to bellow Gringotts.
