CHAPTER FIFTEEN

I heard my phone ringing and searched to no end for it. It wasn't under my pillow. I sat up and looked around. It wasn't next to the bedside lamps. And then I remembered that it was in my bag.

I got out of bed and took my bag. My phone had stopped ringing, but I wanted to know who was calling. I took it out and unlocked it. I saw that Bradley was trying to call me so, I called him back.

"Hey Angel", he said as he answered.

"Hi Dimples. Sorry I missed your call. What's up?" I replied.

"I just wanted to remind you that there's practice today. You need to come and get ready for the song you'll be singing tomorrow", he said. I sighed. "You'll be fine, Angel. Trust me", he encouraged. It was four days after Bradley's dad had asked me to be a guest singer at church.

"Yeah, yeah. So are you going to fetch me or should I drive myself?" I asked.

"I'll fetch you at 13:30, okay?" he said.

"Okay. See you later, Dimples", I said.

"Later babe. Love you", he said.

"Love you more", I said as I ended the call. I didn't realize how hungry I was until I put the phone down.

"Toy, mom and dad are taking us out for breakfast. Natasha and Vanessa are coming too. Get up and get ready", Lindsay yelled from outside my door.

"Okay", I yelled. I went to my closet and looked for something to wear. I settled on a yellow halter dress that was knee high and white sandals with yellow dandelions as decoration.

After I took a shower and was dressed, I looked at my reflection in the mirror and shook my head. My mom would be proud to see me in a dress, since I didn't like wearing dresses. I twirled and smiled because, I felt really pretty. I didn't put on any make-up. I grabbed a bag and put my cell phone and lip gloss in it.

I walked down stairs and found my parents sitting in the kitchen.

"And then you tell me you don't like dresses, Angelique. Look at you; you're gorgeous", mom exclaimed. I smiled and looked down at my yellow dress.

"Thanks mom. Morning parents", I said cheerily, hugging them both.

"Good morning, Angel. You look lovely this morning", dad said. I nodded.

"She sure does, daddy", Lindsay said from behind me. I turned around and saw that she was also wearing a yellow strapless dress and yellow wedge heels. And I must say she looked stunning.

"Honey, we didn't get the memo. We were supposed to wear yellow as well", mom said jokingly. Lindsay and I giggled.

"My daughters sure are beautiful", dad said.

"Thank you daddy", Lindsay said.

"Let's get going. Natasha and Vanessa called and said they were already in the area", mom said. We all walked out the house and dad locked the doors. We piled into the car and dad drove in the direction of town.

Once we got to town, we drove to Mugg & Bean and dad parked. He then called Natasha and told her where we were. We walked into the restaurant and got a big table to fit us all. We sat and waited for Natasha and Vanessa to arrive. Once they got there, we ordered and soft conversations were all around our table.

"Why do you call me baby, mom?" I asked seriously.

"What?" she asked.

"Baby; why do you call me baby?" I repeated.
