CHAPTER TWENTY

I woke up to the fresh aroma of coffee wafting to my nostrils. I opened my eyes and saw two trays of breakfast and two mugs of coffee. Bradley was still snoring lightly, with his arms holding me tightly.

"Baby", I whispered. He stirred a little but didn't wake up. "Bradley", I said a little louder.

"Hmm", he mumbled.

"Wake up, it's morning', I said.

"Hmm. Okay", he said as he let go of me. I turned to face him and kissed his nose.

"Good morning handsome", I said. He opened his eyes and I was drawn into those jade green eyes immediately. "I love your eyes", I said breathlessly.

"And I love you. Morning my angel", he said. "How're you?" he asked.

"I'm wonderful. I love waking up next to you", I said.

"Then maybe we should make it permanent", he said. I scoffed.

"Don't joke like that", I said as I walked over to the trays of food. I pulled it closer to the bed and passed one tray to Bradley. He was suddenly quiet, like what I said hurt his feelings. I didn't know what to say, so I kept quiet.

We ate our breakfast in an awkward silence. I finished my breakfast and left the room before the loudness of the silence could deafen me. I took a hot shower, and put on a white dress and white sandals. I walked out to the room and I found Bradley switching channels on the TV.

"I'm going to check on Tyler", I said, as I walked out the room.

"Angel wait", he said and I ran, pretending to not have heard him. I don't know, but the marriage talk was a little scary for me at the moment. I didn't know why I suddenly felt scared of being with Bradley for the rest of my life. Maybe I had to talk to someone who was going to get married soon. I knocked on Tyler's room door.

"Come in", Thabo said. I walked in and found Tyler and Thabo laying on the bed playing cards.

"Morning guys", I said.

"Hey buddy", Thabo said.

"Hi bestie; what's up?" Tyler said. I sighed.

"Nothing", I said quietly.

"Yeah right", she said. "I'm calling a girls' meeting", she declared and got off the bed. She ran to Cathy and Ashley's rooms. Minutes later, my girlfriends were all sitting on Tyler's bed, looking at me expectantly. Thabo was asked to leave the room, so he went to talk to Bradley.

"Angie, what's going on?" Cathy asked.

"I don't know. I mean, I know but I'm not sure why I'm feeling like this. I mean, I know I love him and everything, but the thought scares me. I mean, I'm wearing his chastity ring; why would I get scared now? I'm freaking out", I said.

"And you're also not making sense right now. How about you tell us what's going on from the beginning?" Ashley said. I took a deep breath.

"Okay. So, this morning when I woke up, I told Bradley I enjoy waking up next to him", I began.

"That's so cute", Ashley said.

"Yeah right... And then he said maybe we should make it permanent, and I freaked out", I continued.
