Love Is Just The Beginning

Will Mother Agree?!?!

As i sat at the dinner table waiting for mother I felt like a bundle of nerves. I was twidling my thumbs, shaking my legs, and constantly looking around for mother. "Will you stop that i feel as though im going to be dizzy." Mother barked out of nowhere and i stopped and looked around and she stepped casually out of the shadows. Maria she called we would like the dinner now! Maria was our housekeeper and thank heavans for her because when my parents were going through an ugly divorce she was there for me. She protected me through the night she even partially raised me when i was young and my mom went out to parties.

After we had our dinner it was the time that i had been anxious for a few hours before. The list and mothers agreement was everything so if i screwed this up bye bye Kaleb!

"Okay you may start Annie but dont make it to long because my show is on tonight."

I took a deep breath and read from the list of dating rules and watched as my mother nodded her head as i spoke each rule carefully. As soon as i was done reading in my polite and respectful voice (I do when I want something.) She took a sip of her wine before she started to speak. "And I trust that you will follow these rules as closely as possible and there are no loop holes. Because if I catch anything fishy going on then thats the end." She spoke. You know the voice parents use when they are mad at you and they speak to you quietly and calmly rather than yelling. Thats how she spoke and it was scary it was as if she was warning me that if I did anything wrong than that was the end.

Mothers point of view:

I only agreed because I knew that she wanted this relationship more than anything in the world. I could see it in her eyes and I just couldnt say no. Because I know that if I did she would break down. And I cant have that in my house. And I know that she is a good girl and I raised her right to know what to do and to not give into peer pressure. But as I walked away to go to my room I swear I heard her whisper "Thank you mother!" and I felt a tear go down my cheek because I dont hear that as often as I would like. Because I am not around a lot because I travel a lot for work so the housekeepers keep an eye on my sweet girl.

Back to Annie's POV:

Once mother left i spoke and let the words slip out "Thank you mother!" I whispered. I then ran to my room shut my door and got my phone. I almost dialed Ambers phone number but I remembered that she had a big test to study for so I didnt want to bother her. Even though I knew shed kill me if she wasnt the first to hear the amazing news about my dating life ( now that i finally had one.) It was only 8 at night so I figured that I would call Kaleb and catch him up on what had happened after I got home. So I dialed his number and it rang and rang and rang finally it went to voicemail

"Hey Kaleb its me Annie I was just calling to talk so if you get a chance call me back . Bye!"

2 Hours Later:

It was 10:00 p.m. and I still hadnt gotten a call from Kaleb and this wasnt like him at all. I usually got a text or call a few minutes after i left the voicemail. But I figured that I would confront him on that tomorrow and ask him why he didnt call me back when he came to pick me up in the morning.

So I got ready for bed and kept my phone close to me in case I did recieve his call. I fell asleep and woke up to no missed calls, text messages, or voicemails. Something was off I could feel it but what was it. But whatever it was I didnt like the feeling that i was getting.
