Love Is Just The Beginning

I Don't Know What To Do Anymore

Since Kaleb didn't pick me up this morning from my house I walked to school. It wasn't that far only like two blocks and I usually walked before I started dating Kaleb. But he insisted on picking me up because I didnt need to walk in the elements. Once I got to school I found my friends in tears. Like not the ones that dont last long. But actually in a crying fit to where their make-up was smearing and they couldnt breathe and they were yelling at anyone who tried to touch them. Once I reached them they asked why I wasnt crying, and I immediately knew what was wrong. Ryan,Holden,Trevor, and Kaleb werent there to comfort them. I asked what was wrong and they told me.

"You should sit down" "No tell me what the hell is going on!" I yelled choking on my words.

"Kaleb,Holden,Ryan,and Trevor were hit by a drunk driver last night at around 7:15 pm. They are in stable condition but Kaleb was the one who got hurt the most since he was driving and it was a head-on collision. So they were immediately sent to the hospital and put in the operating room. We almost lost them but the doctors got to them in time." I barely heard a word they said because the world was spinning so fast.

Before I knew it I was pushing people out of my way to get to the hospital which was surprisingly close. My vision was blurred because of the tears that refused to fall. I heard my friends call after me but I ignored them and kept moving forward.

One Hour Later:

I reached the hospital and went to the front desk. I told them who I was but they wouldnt let me in. "Fuck this" I practically yelled. And I called Kalebs parents who were there thank God!

Once his mom came to get me she walked me to where he was. "You can go right in if you dont mind we were just gonna go home and get a shower and put some fresh clothes on. Are you gonna stay her sweetie?" " Yes ma'am if you dont mind." "Of course dear well be back soon." She kissed Kalebs head and left the room.

I sat there and held his hand and prayed like hell that he was going to be okay. I was there for about two hours and had fallen asleep apparently because I was awoken by a shaking of the shoulder. And to four missed calls from Allie,Amy,Amber, and Mother. I ignored them though because Kalebs mom, Mrs.Sandra was shaking my shoulder. " Honey we got back and you were asleep are you okay? You missed a full day of school as well but we called in for you. We even told them that you would be taking a few days off. If that is alright?" "Oh yeah thats fine I dont mind Id rather stay here anyways than go to school. But I had better call my mom and let her know whats happened and why I missed school today." So I stepped out and called mother and let her know what happened. " Oh okay thats fine Annie but I will stop by later and bring you some clothes and stuff so that way you stay clean and dont have to worry about leaving the hospital the time that you are there." " Okay thanks mother see you soon love you." and I hung up.

But before I went back in I asked where the other boys rooms were. I left for a few minutes and found my friends each of them were in their boyfriends room like I thought they would be. Once all of us got together we got in a tight group hug and broke down and cried so hard. We stayed like that for about 15 minutes, longer than I thought but we comforted each other. And we had all taken the rest of the week off plus some just to make sure we were there when our boys woke up. We all planned to go get supper together later that night. When I got back I found a note that said

"Annie, we've gone to supper at the diner across the street we will be back in about an hour and a half. Call if you need anything or if there is any new news on Kaleb or if hes woken up." -Sandra and Mitchell

That is just fine after I read it I gave Kaleb a kiss, grabbed his hand, shut my eyes and prayed harder than I ever have before. My mom snuck in with my bag and set it down and put her head on my shoulder. "He looks like a wonderful boy Annie he will be just fine especially since your here." I almost cried but I couldn't so I just looked up at my mo and asked her to stay with me. We sat next to each other and held hands and prayed together that everything would be okay untill Kalebs parents got back. Once they got back I told them I was going to get dinner with my friends and I would be back shortly. They agreed and I met my friends in the front and said bye to my mom and we headed over to the diner. We ate dinner in silence until Amy started to bring up happy moments with Ryan and then we all joined in. I learned about the first time Ryan kisses Amy. And how Trevor mistook another girl for Amber. And how Holden serenaded Allie in front of people to get her to believe that he loved her and did not do to well at the singing part he apparently sounded like a dying cat. We all laughed at that story. As soon as we were done eating we paid and headed over to the hospital. Once I got in his parents were already asleep so I gave Kaleb a goodnight kiss. Then I used my bag as a pillow and fell asleep.

I hope this chapter wasn't that bad but it is a little longer than usual but I just couldn't find a stopping point. Hope you enjoyed! -M
