Love Is Just The Beginning

Annie?

2 weeks later:

"Hey Kaleb ." I whispered as if I were talking to a newborn child. "We didn't do a whole heck of a lot today at school. A lot of people are trying to be nice to me but it isn't the same without your smiling face at school. I don't even want to get up in the mornings because I know that I wont see you in school. But I look forward to seeing you after school and I like our little homework sessions. Where you like agree with everything I say and don't put up a fight."

"Annie?"

I gasped and looked up and noticed one of Kalebs black and blue swollen eyes was open a little. "Kaleb?" I basically squealed.

"Nurse!" I yell. The nurse comes running in and notices that he is conscious and punches in numbers and does a whole lot of other whacky stuff to the monitors. I walk out into the hallway and call his parents who were home asleep. We had come up with a schedule where they stay awake at night and I stay until my mom calls me home. But we call each other if anything new happens. Once I told them they said they would be right there. It didn't even take twenty minutes and they were back in the hospital. So I left to give them some privacy and went went and checked on the others. We always walked to the hospital after school since all our boyfriends were actually unconscious in the hospital. It was like an unwanted quadruple date.

But as I got into the elevator the girls were already in there they were apparently heading down to get me. I got the news right away "OUR BOYFRIENDS ARE AWAKE!" was what they said. "MINE TOO!" we all squealed, said thank you, jumped up and down, and shed tears of happiness. We had all stepped out to give the parents alone time with the boys so that way they could rejoice together. We thought that we were going to lose them. We were ALL scared for theirs and our lives.

We took about an hour and got coffee and hung out before going back upstairs. But I only got about 25 minutes because my phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Annie its Sandra, Kaleb would like to see you and spend time with you so we were planning on going home to get our sleep and well come back tonight."

"Oh okay ill be right up!"

And I hung up. Don't get me wrong I really wanted to see Kaleb but im afraid if I see him again something bad will happen to him and I don't want that to happen. Don't get me wrong I love Kaleb I really do but in movies every freaking time the girlfriend sees the boyfriend in the hospital something goes  wrong. But I went up regardless of my fears.

  "Hey Kaleb!" I said running over to him and grabbing his hand and sitting down." I was afraid I wasn't going to see you again." I said through the tears that were already streaming down my face.

"Whats the matter Annie? Im right here and im just fine." He says.

"You are not "just fine" you have to swollen black and blue eyes, a broken wrist, a broken foot, broken nose, a few broken ribs, and your collar bone is messed up."

"Okay all smart and cunning one im not just fine as in body wise but im right   here with my girlfriend and im not in a casket." We both laugh at that

     "Look not even up a full two hours and your already a smart ass I guess you really are okay!" I said sarcastically.

After that we held each other and I fell asleep in his warm and safe embrace. It was really one of the best nights of my life. And even though it was in a hospital with my boyfriend hurt I still consider it the best date ever. That is until my mom called and ruined it. But he was awake when I gave him a goodnight kiss and left.

  "Hey Annie!" He called.

   "Yeah Kaleb?"

   "I love you."

   " I love you to." I replied with a sweet smile. "Goodnight Kaleb." And with that I walked out of the hospital with a hop in my step. It was truly the best day of my life.
