Billie

One sunny Saturday afternoon, I surprised Luna with a carefully planned date, promising to make it a day she would never forget. I had always admired Luna's sense of adventure and creativity. I knew Luna had a fascination with art, so the first stop on our date was a local art exhibition. The gallery was filled with vibrant paintings, sculptures, and photographs that ignited our imagination and sparked conversations about life, love, and the beauty of the world. We wandered hand in hand, getting lost in the stories behind each piece, sharing our thoughts and interpretations with one another.

"Look at that one," Luna whispered to me, pointing to a neutrally toned painting of two lovers spending the morning in bed. "Oh, that one's darling." I gasped quietly turning my attention over to it. "It reminded me of us," Luna replied making a huge grin appear on my face. As Luna walked away and off to the next work, I made sure to take a photo of the information card to get the Artists information.

As the day progressed, I led Luna to a cozy café nestled in a quaint corner of the city. The café exuded an ambiance of warmth and tranquillity, the perfect setting for us to unwind and enjoy each other's company. "Uh, Lu, you might wanna wipe your face, babe" I laughed behind my muffled hand. Her eyes widened to quickly wipe off the milk froth moustache she acquired from her hot cocoa. "That's so embarrassing!" She yelped grabbing a napkin while covering her mouth with her hand. "Don't worry about it, no one saw," I giggled. "You saw!" she blushed. "So? Do you seriously think I'm going to judge you for a milk moustache?" I asked raising a brow. "Well, no, but-!" Luna started but I interjected; "Period."

With our appetites awakened now only had a hot drink, we decided to embark on a culinary adventure. I took Luna to a hidden gem of a restaurant known for its Italian cuisine. We indulged in an array of dishes, savouring every bite as our taste buds were transported to new dimensions. The restaurant provided an intimate and homey atmosphere, allowing us to revel in the joy of discovering culinary wonders together. Luna got a gluten and dairy overload of a pizza for her main as we never eat anything like it at home, while I got a gluten free pesto dish. I also think I've never eaten more garlic bread in my life.

"I'm gonna head to the bathroom quickly before we go, Billie." Luna said pushing her chair out and flattening her skirt out before walking quickly across the restaurant but she only returned after about a minute. "Everything okay?" I asked. "Their disabled bathroom is clogged," she said. "I'm sure there'll be one outside," she just shrugged. "No, baby I can see you need to go now, come with me," I dismissed her and stood up, grabbing her hand and taking her back to the bathrooms. "No, Billie, I can't use the clogged toilet that's gross," Luna pushed back against me. "I would never make you do that," I sighed while opening the door to the women's restroom.

"No, Billie, I can't use this either," Luna shook her head back and forth. "Yes you can. No one is in here and I paid good money for our food so we have the right, come in love. It's okay," I said waving her in. "I don't like this," she said but came in anyway. "Go on," I said, nodding to the stall. Luna looked distressed at the situation but the urge to go to the bathroom was soon outweighing it and she rushed into the tiny cubicle and shut the door.

"Lovely night, isn't it? Are you going in?" an elderly lady walked past me and into the stall next to Luna. "Nope, just waiting for a friend," I smiled and internally panicked knowing Luna is going to be freaking out behind that door. I grabbed out my phone and texted her.

The old lady soon finished up and left the restroom, allowing Luna to come out. She glared at me through the mirror as she washed her hands, but it fell into a smile as she couldn't stay mad at me for long. "Fuck you Eilish," she said as she turned around. "You wish. Hey at least you feel better now," I shrugged. "Physically yes, emotionally- traumatized."

As the evening approached, I whisked Luna away to a rooftop garden overlooking the city's skyline. A beautiful array of twinkling lights transformed the space into a magical wonderland. We lay on a blanket beneath the starry sky, sharing stories, dreams, and aspirations, Luna's sweet laughter echoing through the night. The soft breeze rustled through the leaves, carrying with it the sweet scent of blossoming flowers.

Lost in the enchantment of the moment, I revealed a small velvet box, a treasure held close to my heart. With trembling hands, Luna opened it, revealing a delicate silver necklace adorned with a crescent moon pendant. Luna's eyes filled with tears of joy as she whispered her love and gratitude. The crescent moon held deep symbolism for both of us, representing the way our lives intertwined, always in perfect balance. Luna had also bought me a promise ring early into our relationship of a crescent moon, which was another reason why it is so special.

As the night drew to a closer we walked hand in hand, our hearts overflowing with gratitude for the love we shared and the experiences we had cherished together. Luna and I's date had been a celebration of our deep connection, a testament to the beauty of love and the power of trust. We knew that as long as we had each other, every day could be an adventure, and our love story would continue to unfold in the most extraordinary ways.
