It's been exactly six months since I reconnected with my sister, and both of our lives have improved significantly. She has learned how to cope with the intrusivity of her own thoughts, and I have been working to learn that connecting with people is not always going to end bad for me. Sometimes reconnecting is all you need in order to make more progress when you have reached a stalemate.
You have to remember your goals, but know that you can change them when it's needed. I thought gaining my freedom from my mother and sister would provide me the sense of security that I needed, but it didn't. It only increased my mental struggles. I needed someone who understood me, on a level that only Father did. I needed to know someone cared.
Someone cares about you. You might not see it now, but it's true. There is someone out there who loves and cares for you; don't shut them out.
