PROLOGUE
To see is to believe.
A wise saying that was imparted to me a while back and which I still truly believe.
It is an idiom, meant to imply that even if something is incredibly uncommon or surprising, if you experience it for yourself, you will believe it to exist or be true. The full phrase from English clergyman Thomas Fuller, who lived in the 17th century, is "Seeing is believing, but feeling is the truth," which implies that believing and truth are two very different things.
Believing is seeing, not the other way around.
Our beliefs determine how we see the world; faith comes before sight. We walk by faith, not by sight, as the old hymn that was adapted from Paul's second letter to the Corinthians says.
I apply this saying in my everyday life.
Believe to what I saw infront of me and make other people that surrounds me that the persona I shown as my identity.
Also I believe what I see today like the art.
I focused my attention on the hanging painting on the white wall. Various colors were used to cover a vast canvas, which were expertly shaped into shapes and other things. This is what is referred to as abstract art. This form of art fascinates me since it is so beautifully expressive.
“Do you like what you see madam?”
I turned around to see the owner of that voice which came from a person who’s grinning widely at me that made me rolled my eyes. “Ang ganda talaga ng painting. Halatang mamahalin din. Bibilhin mo ba?”
“Don't be ridiculous” I replied to him while he slowly walks to my side and gazed at the painting for a moment.
“You always like to just watch Mary” he commented.
"I like being just a spectator Allen" I said.
He sighed. “Anyways, isn't boring to stare at the same painting almost everyday?”
He really remembers I only look at this painting everytime I came here.
“Its my favorite here” I smiled while glancing at him then smirked. “A wonderful masterpiece that I appreciated unlike someone”
“Kahit kailan ang talim talaga ng dila mo”
“Bakit ka pala pumunta dito?” pagiiba ko ng topic sabay napatingin sa paligid na sobrang dami na pala ng tao na halatang mga mayayaman. “Ikaw lang ba magisa na nandito?”
