Rai's POV
We made our way to the elevator, and we were at the ground floor in no time then walked out of our abode and started strolling on the pavements. I think I'd missed all this when we went to the abode earlier.
The structures at Crowns were magnificent, all made of glass that had a glow within. "Let's go get some food first." Suggested Lex as she threw a penny in a fountain with a giant marble crown sculpture in the middle, standing in all its glory.
I agreed without protest. We made our way through the lots of students, all who were princes and princesses, elites of the Amaris.
At the very fancy restaurant I ordered some fries and chicken while Lex ordered some African dish to which I didn't get the name. I was trying to analyze the place when my eyes fell on a group of students at the corner of the restaurant.
The group consisted of four boys and three girls. I didn't realize I was staring with my mouth open until Lex snapped her fingers in front of my eyes.
"Someone's got a crush." She said playfully, with a teasing grin on her face.
"No I don't." I shot back all the while smiling.
"Oh well, let me call them over to introduce you guys to each other." She said a huge grin plastered on her face. Before I could protest, she was already shouting one of their names and motioning for them to come over.
Great, she knows them.
I don't know if I was hallucinating but when they got up from their table, there seemed to be a hush over the whole room. Everyone was staring at them admiringly like they were some kinds of gods and goddesses.
They turned heads wherever they passed. By the time they reached our table, every eye was on us, and I started savoring all the attention which was thrilling for a second there.
"Hey guys!" Said Lex cheerfully. They all took a seat while looking at me.
They all replied with the same enthusiasm, well except one of the boys who looked very cold.
He had this effortlessly captivating presence. His face was chiseled, with a strong jawline and high cheekbones that gave him a classic, masculine look. His eyes were deep-set and a striking shade of grey, framed by thick, dark eyebrows that enhanced their intensity.
His dark brown hair gently lay on his head making his ash grey eyes even more conspicuous. He was the literal definition of a god, and it was hard to prevent myself from drooling all over him.
How the fuck is every one of them so attractive!
In my moment of looking at him, he slowly shifted his gave without me noticing and in a split second our eyes locked making everything around me disappear. I felt alive like I had never before. Sparks flowing through my veins were definitely competing with all the butterflies in my stomach.
I was enjoying the view until he decided to look away and just like that, the sparks and butterflies disappeared and I was left empty again.
Rude!
Everyone in the group but him shook my hand while introducing themselves. They all looked like they came from the cover of fashion magazines.
Another one of them had his hair thick and styled in a way that looked both neat and relaxed, with a bit of natural wave that added to his easygoing charm. His dark skin was clear and had a healthy, sun-kissed glow which made his melanin pop.
He was dressed impeccably, wearing a tailored blazer that fitted him perfectly, accentuating his broad shoulders and slim waist. Underneath, he had a crisp, white shirt that complemented his well-maintained physique. His trousers were stylishly fitted, and he had on a pair of sleek, leather dress shoes that add a polished touch. The accessories are minimal but well-chosen—perhaps a classic watch and a subtle pocket square that add just the right amount of sophistication. He introduced himself as Kyle.
