Rai's POV

It's been a few months since we visited Africa. It has been quite uneventful.

Now we just had to get the exam week over with then finally go for the Halloween holiday.

Everyone was serious and Liam and I didn't really spend much time together since we were both preparing for the exam.

I would be sitting for an Astrophysics exam which was really important in my coming academic year because I wanted to pursue astronomy.

After studying with Lex , we both decided to go to the Aura to let loose.

All I really wanted was to visit the library so I left Lex after we had gotten coffee.

"Welcome again miss." Said the lady at the counter with a smile. She was always full of life.

I greeted her back and made my way to the shelves to find the next world that I would get lost in.

I was reaching out for a book when I suddenly slipped and fell. I really hurt my butt.

"Oow," I cried holding my waist and struggling to stand up.

"Wow, I totally should have recorded that, good shit." Said a voice from behind me.

I looked and found Csan laughing hysterically holding his stomach.

"So not funny dude," I said rolling my eyes at him and finally managing to stand up.

"What are you doing here anyway?" I inquired wiping away the non-existent dust from my butt.

"I want to skip campus again, I'm bored. " He said casually, putting his hand in his pocket.

"Oh classic," I replied walking to where he was standing.

"I really like you you know," he said looking at me."

"Yeah right," I said laughing waving him off.

"No I'm serious Estrella." He said, his face turning serious and his gaze on me intense.

We stayed staring at each other for sometime, the silence deafening.

"Oh I'm just kidding, I totally got you." He blurted out, patting my shoulder and laughing.

"Oh shut up, you potato head," I said laughing with relief.

"Oh I would definitely fry you." He said, his laugh continuing.

"You have the worst jokes dude," I said finally joining him in the laugh.

Suddenly, an alarm started blaring.

"Oh shit, that's the campus danger alarm, everyone has to be at their abode." Said Csan frantically holding my hand and starting to lead us out of the library.

It was then that I realized that the library was completely empty. When we got outside, the whole Aura was also empty.

"What is happening, are we being attacked?!" I questioned, fear engulfing me. I could feel a sweat breaking on my forehead.

"Crowns is an institution with only the most powerful people in the world, and powerful people have enemies." Csan replied amidst heavy breaths as we started running towards his car.

The pavements were completely empty.
We finally got to the abode and I started to make my way across the street to get to the girls' abode when Csan held my hand and pulled me back quickly.

"By the time you get to the other side of the street, you will have been shot." Said Csan as he started to pull me inside the boys' abode.

"But we aren't allowed inside the boys' abode." I protested.

"I don't follow the rul-," before he could finish, I let out a painful scream.

A sharp, searing pain exploded between my shoulder blades. My breath cought in my throat as my body lurched forward, knees buckling beneath me. The arrow buried deep, its fletching trembling with the force of impact. A cold shock spread from the wound, numbing my arms as my vision wavered.

I struggled to turn, my fingers reaching for Csan, but another step sent a jolt of agony through my scapula. The world tilted, the abodes spinning as my body gave in, collapsing onto a set of strong arms.

I started to feel dizzy at the familiar smell of iron.

Csan carried me bridal style and we made our way to the elevator. My eyes had started to close as I was losing blood fast.

We got to the door of an abode which I'm guessing was his. When he got in, I could see Liam, Siin and Kyle playing some video game.

When they spotted us they all abruptly got up. All I can remember is Liam carrying me and putting me on a bed and all their horrified faces fading in the light, then all went black.

I was seeing black everywhere, then I saw a tiny white light, subconsciously I I knew I had to follow that white light to get to safety.

I followed the white light and suddenly, light was everywhere, I realized that I had opened my eyes.

The sun wasn't helping with its brightness so I went back to closing my eyes.

I noticed that someone's head was lying on my chest. It was Liam, and he seemed to be sobbing.

"Well aren't you a crier," I said with a tiny voice, harnessing all the energy I had, trying to sit up and managing a tiny smile.

"Oh you are finally awake stargazer, when it comes to you I will willing be the biggest crier." He said getting up. I could see his smile and a gleam in his eyes.

"I missed you so much," he said giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"You have been out for three days." He said holding me and putting my head back to rest on the fluffy pillows.

"Well just so you know, I've been dreaming about you all that time ." I said with a playful grin.

Suddenly Lex came in and when she realized I was awake she hugged me.
"Oh my goodness, I'm so glad you're awake!" She said excitedly with a smile.

"Guys she's awake," she shouted and in no time all my friends came in and engulfed me in a hug.

They told me that the campus was now safe and the attackers had all been captured by the luzons.

I was so glad that we were finally safe, now I just had to call mum and try not to mention that I had been shot by a goddamn arrow.
