Rai's POV
"I'm so happy it's parent's day, I miss my mother already." I said with excitement as I pulled my hair into a low ponytail to go with the school's uniform.
"Well, we better get going or we'll be late and trust me, you do not wanna be tardy for the royal entrance." Said Lex as we made our way out of our leaf."
When we got out of the elevator, we were met by our friends. Of course we were the only ones that were late they made that known to us amid some whining and compliments of course.
"You just couldn't live without me, could you?" I told Liam amidst a cute giggle as we locked arms and he gave me a peck on the cheek.
We got into the limousines and they joined in on the traffic of limousines taking all the students to the center of the campus to await the parents. They weren't just any parents so of course it was a big deal.
When we got there, we joined the plathera of students in their Crowns uniforms. All standing in poise and grace as they awaited the royal arrivals.
The sky shimmered with the metallic gleam of royal airships, their sleek designs a mix of futuristic engineering and old-world luxury. The private aircraft, draped in midnight blue with golden insignias that carried all the kings and queens of the amaris descended gracefully onto the academy's platinum-plated runway. The hum of engines softened as a procession of royal vehicles followed—everything from electric Rolls-Royces to glass-domed carriages pulled by magnificent stallions.
I stood next to Lex and Tinku, watching the spectacle unfold. Parents, monarchs, and dignitaries emerged in an elegant choreography of power. The King and Queen of the States, among other rulers, stepped onto the scarlet carpet, exuding an effortless regality in their designer ensembles. His Majesty’s tailored ivory suit was lined with real gold threading, and Her Majesty’s sapphire gown trailed behind her like liquid stardust.
I felt a familiar presence beside me—Liam. His sharp features were relaxed, but a flicker of amusement played in his eyes.
“Nervous?” he teased.
I scoffed. “They already love me. You, on the other hand, might be in trouble if they decide they like me more.”
He chuckled, offering me his arm as his parents approached. The Queen's eyes lit up the moment she saw me.
“Estrella, darling!” she exclaimed, enveloping me in a warm embrace. “You look absolutely radiant.”
“Trying my best to keep up with this one,” I said with a smile, averting my gaze to Liam.
The King clasped Liam's shoulder, nodding approvingly before turning to me. “I hope my son has been treating you well. If not, let me know. I have ways of keeping him in line.”
Liam sighed. “Father—”
I smirked. “Oh, don’t worry, Your Majesty. I keep him in line just fine, both of them.” I said amidst a chuckle, referring to both Liam and Lex.
"Hey, I'm totally capable." Complained Lex, as she came out from the queen's arms.
"There you are!" I heard a voice from behind me and before I could fathom anything, I was engulfed in a warm hug from behind and I knew exactly who it was.
"Mama! I missed you." I said, turning around to give her a proper hug.
No tears were shed during this process of course.
Then she curtsied making everyone giggle.
"Your highnesses, this is my mother." I said to the king and queen, pride clouding my voice."
"And very evidently so, you've got her beauty." Said the queen as she surprisingly pulled her into a hug.
