Rai's POV

It was finally Halloween break and Crowns offered a three day break.

My art class would not be going home because we had planned to go visit a school for the mentally challenged. Our art teacher had said that those kids made really great art works and we were all dying to see them.

I said goodbye to all my friends and also packed a small bag for the trip.

It was a special school in California that taught the mentally challenged people.

It was just a thirty minute ride. It was sad that even with advanced technology, we had not yet come up with solutions to people with disabilities.

Our school bus parked and it was finally time to meet the kids. Some girls were really scared to go out of the bus.

A very sweet headmaster of the school welcomed us and told us the basic things we needed to know about their students.

She said they would be a bit touchy and clingy and that it was normal. She assured us that they were just normal like us and that they were in no way violent and wouldn't hurt us.

First, we walked to their dorms which were really clean. They talked to us, told us their names and even showed us their friends, they were so wholesome, funny and sweet.

We finally visited their classrooms. Their headmaster told us that there education was based on skills and not academics.

We were really surprised and impressed at their art skills. They made mats from beads and even taught us. Some were even sewing clothes and weaving.

We bought some of their crafts that were for sale and at the end of the day we learnt that they were just people like us.

We made sure to make a huge donation to support the school.

After our trip we were free to go home. Since I only had a day left, I decided not to go to Ecuador.

I decided to give the palace of the States a visit specifically to see Lex and Liam.

I decided to be casual but sophisticated so I put on a short denim mini skirt with a similarly denim off shoulder crop top. The denim sleeves were separate from the crop top and so were the denim leg warmers.

I put on white heels and tied my hair in a low ponytail with a part in the middle. I decided to stay natural, no makeup. I took a white purse and off I went.

Since I was already making money modeling, I was able to buy a car. It was a matte rosegold sports car.

I was only riding on it for the second time. I got in and off I drove.

The States castle was an eye candy. Glass walls decorated with real diamonds standing as tall as a mountain.

All my good vibes were crushed when I realized that there were loads of paparazzi.

Shit, who told them I would be here?!

Now I was wondering how I was supposed to get to the castle

I put on my sunglasses to spare my vision with the flashes and then I stepped to my death.

Just as I speculated mics were literally being shoved at me and flashes were everywhere, thank goodness for my glasses or else I would be blind.

Then when I thought all hope was lost I felt arms wrapped around me.

"Does this feel familiar?" Asked Liam with a big smile, his voice tone obviously low and sexy.

He called over the palace guards and we were finally able to get into the castle

"Hola stargazer," I said playfully with a smile before giving him a peck on the lips.

"Hola my princess," he said with a smile bowing down.

"Aren't you two so cute," said a voice from behind me. My heart palpitated when I realized it was the king and queen.

"Your highnesses," I curtsied with a smile.

"I see you've finally decided to visit us." Said the queen.

"Feel at home dear and kindly show him how to love his kingdom as he loves you." The king added before he and the queen walked away.

I looked at him expecting an explanation. He just shrugged and and took my hands to lead the way.

We were walking up the stairs when we ran into Lex.

"Oh my goodness you're here!" Lex exclaimed before giving me a hug.

"Now little brother, because I'm older I'm gonna steal her." She told Liam pointing at me.

"Uum no, I got her first." He protested.

"Okay I have an idea," I said "I'll stay with Lex for a few as you get ready because there's somewhere I need to take you." I continued.

"Ok then it's settled." I said before pulling Lex and running up the stairs.

"So where are we going?" Liam inquired as we made our way through the castle doors.

"You'll see, patience baby patience." I said as we continued walking.

"Ok then I'll go get the car," he said.

"No, no cars." I replied.

"What! Ok then let me call th-"

"No palace guards either," I cut him off with a smile.

"Ok then, what if the paparazzi attack us?" He questioned.

"That's why we're dressed as Tinkerbell and Peter pan and doing this at night." I said reassuringly with a smile.

We walked out of the palace gates and were met with people walking around dressed in costumes.

It was Halloween night and people were trick or treating.

"I want you to see your people, connect with them." I said as we continued strolling.

"Trick or treat" I called out as I knocked on a door of a tiny house.

The door was open and we were met by a middle aged woman.

"Oh I'm sorry, I can't afford any candy this year." She said sadly.

"But you guys can come in and my granddaughter and I will tell you a spooky story." She offered with a smile before her eyes met the prince and her face dropped.

"Oh my goodness your highness I didn't even realize it was you." She said apologetically before curtsying.

Liam just nodded with a smile as we got in..

Her granddaughter was so sweet and their spooky story was definitely chilling.

She told us her daughter couldn't go to school since she couldn't afford the fees and that they were basically starving from the high tax rates.

It was sad that even in this technically advanced world, some could still not afford basic needs.

We watched a dance festival that was held in their small community and ourselves joined them in dancing.

By the end of the night we had learnt something about the citizens.

"Thank you for giving me a different perspective of viewing my people. Now I know the areas I'll need to improve on to make better lives for them. He thanked me genuinely with a smile.

"It's my pleasure stargazer, I promised to always be beside you." I said smiling back.

And just like any other classic movie, we kissed under the stars dressed as Tinkerbell and Peter pan.
