everyone knew the platonov's were wealthy, you could tell my the way they talked. articulate, a vocabulary larger than life. though also by the way they treated others, the morals they held. they always bought things for the group, even when told not to. a lunch? they paid for everyone.

so when georg and the rest of the group were driving up a driveway that was surrounded by trees and lateens they thought they were lost. until a huge house came into view, the white exterior and warm lights shining through the windows illuminating the ground below. they had never seen this house was different from the one they dropped them off of before. the grounds were covered in gravel, a island in the middle surrounding a willow tree.

a chorus of woahs filled the car, who knew they were that rich. tom was scared to meet their family, not having the best introduction between himself and her father. so as they piled out the car and knocked on the door. he had silently prayed that it wasn't their father who answered.

luckily it wasn't, ilya and viktoria had opened the door. ilya in sleek black trousers with a white button up. while viktoria wore had worn a sky blue starry midi dress with white kitten heels. her long black hairs cascading down, she looked like a siren.

"come in! it's snowing hard" viktoria said smiling, gesturing the boys to enter. though they were even more shocked by the interior of the house. engraved wood trimming covered the house, similar to the mahogany floors that had a large persian rug covering them. gold framed portraits filled the foyer.

"i'll give you a tour later, but let's drop the presents off in mine or ilyas room" viktoria hummed, she didn't mind them staring and taking it in. it was a lot, her and ilya knew that. it was sort of embarrassing to them.

"yours" ilya replied before walking up the white and mahogany stairs. though the boys had hoped their shoes didn't mess up the preston's crème-white runner.

"you can take your shoes off in my room" viktoria hummed from behind as if listening to their thoughts.

"you think i can hang on that chandelier" tom smirked as eyeing the chandelier that looked over the foyer.

"you'll have to pay a couple thousand" a unknown voice rang. though ilya internally groaned.

"mom please" he shouted begging her to not
introduce herself quite yet. she was a intimidating woman, and that was saying a lot from ilya. in which she yelled an okay, leaving them to continue acting like nothing just happened.

it had been a couple hours and the group was finally opening their gifts. music was flowing through viktorias room as they all sat in a circle on her floor.

"okay georg go first" ilya said before shoving his gift towards georg. georg left out a gasp as he looked at the gift. a vinyl of his favorite band, and a pair of oval black sunglasses. "you look like the type to wear those" ilya added referring to the sunglasses as he saw the questioning look on his face. the other gifts he had received was a band tee from tom, a soccer jersey from gustav, another pair of his usual sweatpants from bill, and headphones from viktoria.

gustav was next, viktoria almost pushed away everyone else's presents so he could open hers first. a huge smile on her face as she ripped the paper. it was vic firth drumsticks, a silver chain bracelet, and two hoodies. "thanks vik" he mumbled hugging her tightly, grateful for everything. he could tell it was thought out, something that had meaning and that's what he appreciated. the other gifts he had opened was a matching necklace from ilya, a pair of sambas from georg, a hoodie from both tom and bill.
