Prototype #8 = Experiment: All Sense Enhancement/Resurrection

The premise of Tsubasa's modifications was simple: heighten all of her senses to a painfully sensitive level. We started as usual, mending all the damage done and repairing her vital organs, with normal tissues since we would be altering the nerves, eyes, tongue, ears, and nose. We started with the longest process - the sense of touch. This involved creating nerve tissue that was super hypersensitive, which was a tricky task to figure out, but once we finished creating the nerves, we carefully cut open the skin and replaced all of Tsubasa's sensory nerves with the new, highly sensitive ones. Oddly, these enhanced nerves made the skin appear a yellowish tone.

Next up was sight. Junko decided to only create one eye for this, and ended up stitching the existing eyes shut, and creating a cavity on the forehead, where the single, new eye was placed. This single, super-enhanced eye has an incredibly high amount of rods and cones, allowing clear vision even in night. Much of the eye's structure was modeled after the eyes of birds of prey. Thus, she has enhanced abilities to see from long distances, and can see ultraviolet light, and colors that human eyes can't process. The enhanced eye is naturally a bright blue.

The ears were the easiest to alter. We simply removed the outer ear and replaced them with two mechanical structures, with a somewhat similar structure to a hearing aid. The eardrums were also altered, and made stronger so they wouldn't break when exposed to loud sounds. The nose and sense of scent were changed next. The original nose itself was left to be, and instead two slit-like openings would have the enhanced sense. The two openings on the cheeks connect to small cavities in the skull behind them, which are full of olfactory receptors. The slits release a purplish fume that helps drag scents in.

Modifying the sense of taste wasn't necessary, but we did it anyway. After a few tries, chemical alterations successfully increased the amount of taste buds in the mouth, causing them to be more numerous in the cheek tissue than normal. Unexpectedly, this caused the cheeks to turn a bright red color. The final part, before we finished the resurrection process, was altering the brain to better process the enhanced senses. Once that was complete, the revival was finished up, and memories and function were restored with the neurotransmitters and an electric shock. After the fact we learned her sense of touch was the most impacted, which was a bit disappointing since we were trying to make all 5 painful, while only one got the most of it.
