Chapter 1: Awaken

Chapter 1: Discovery

Blood drips from my left arm as I drag my bare feet across the cold ground. I don't know where I am nor who I am. I was running from something that's what I remember. Despite the dizziness caused by my condition, I continue running in an attempt to escape.

I just woke up from a sleep and all of a sudden, something pounced on me. It was...inhuman. It has a big body, large mouth with numerous teeth. It got four eyes! That thing got me with its sharp claws and the next thing I know it got thrown away at the tree leaving me a chance to run.

Where? I don't know. All I see is large trees and strangely enough, I can somehow see even though the large, towering leaves are covering the sky.

I stopped when I found a cave under the mountain where I came from. It looks like it was a lair of some monster, but this is better than being chased and lunged at by a strange beast.

It was chilly inside, but I really feel like I'm going to collapse if I don't stop running while my arm is dripping with blood. I tore a piece of fabric from my clothes and tied it to my arm.

"Arghh". Pain shot all over my body when I tried touching the wound. It was black and dark blue lines were starting to spread from it.

Unknowingly, I place my arm above it and utter "Heal".

My eyes widen when glittering objects like dust start forming around.

What is this? I tried waving my hand around but it only got brighter.

It then proceeds to cover my wound. Cold feeling starts to spread from the glowing object to my body. After a while it surprised me when I saw that the torn flesh in my arm was gone. I tried touching my wound and it's like there was never a bitten mark there.

What was that? Where did I learn that thing? I tried moving my arm and it's like energy is filling up my body.

I noticed that there is a tiny dot in my left wrist. I looked closer and it's more like a tiny blue crystal. I tried touching it and I jumped when a blue hologram popped up.

My eyes widened when it responded to my touch. Bunch of things appeared that I don't quite understand.

What is this? Obviously, I think the Life force is my, well, life. Did it decrease because I was wounded? How about the energy? Is it my stamina? There's also a level too! How do I know these things but not my name and where I came from?

What confuses me is the lower part where it says, "This info has been locked". What is that? Why was it locked? Does it get unlocked when I Ievel up just like those games?

Wait. What?

What games? Why do I know certain things and not know other things? Was my memory manipulated? My head starts to hurt the more I try to think and remember. I looked at the hologram and tried passing my arm through it.

I pressed the tiny crystal again and it disappeared. I sat down confused on what was happening. There were many questions in my mind and I became hopeless seeing that there is no one here to help me answer it.
