People always looked at him differently, they always thought he was weird for devoting his life to animals, but he simply didn't care. George opened an aquatic sanctuary for sea animals a few years back, At first it was to help animals rehabilitate and then he could release them back into the wild but after a while, he learnt that the animals who couldn't survive in the wild needed a place to live.

So he opened Blue High Sanctuary. His friends make fun of him and say it sounds like a strain of weed but he doesn't care, because all he ever cares about are the animals. It's a very large building, known all across Florida with how much wildlife it's saved.

They focus mostly on dolphins, sharks and sometimes whales. Right now George took a day off, but everyone else at the sanctuary were busy helping a sword fish learn to live without half its tail.

The brunette had a beach house, shocker. But since you can't legally own a beach in Florida, he couldn't avoid people passing by or parties spilling into his backyard and leaving garbage behind. Last night, was one of those obnoxious parties. George didn't mind picking up the trash left behind, because he was doing it more for the animals than he was for himself.

he walked out onto the soft sand, seeing that the mess really wasn't awful compared to what it's been like before. He already had gloves on and a canvas bag in his hand, picking up beer bottles from the ground and plastic solo cups. He didn't expect to find anything more than trash but he froze when he saw a sea turtle on the beach.

his heart ached as he saw a six-pack plastic stuck around its arm. The poor animal was making heart wrenching sounds of pain, causing george to immediately drop the bag onto the sand and to start approaching the animal.

The turtle looked like it had been beached for much longer than it should have been. It's scales were starting to dry out, it's shell looked like it was shedding, george knew he had to get it back in the ocean now.

He knelt down, the animal was too tired and exhausted from getting onto the beach to the point where it didn't try to fight george. The brunette pulled out his pocket knife, ever so gently cutting away at the plastic until it popped off and allowed the animal to take a deep breath of relief.

George helped the large turtle towards the water, holding half of its weight up by its shell and walking it down to the oceans edge. As soon as the turtle made it into the water, it took off. The brunette let a little smile peer onto his lips, knowing he just saved that turtles life was something he craved to feel more often.

Though as he started to turn around, he noticed a trail in the sand. It looked like something was drug, pulled across the sand and up onto the bank. It looked large, and heavy considering how  deep the trail seemed to look.

george was a little worried about what it could be, because nothing should be this big and out of water. He started taking steps forward, quickly seeing there was blood in the trail too.

His heart rate picked up, and as he followed the trial further and further, all he could think about was a mythical creature. There was no way mermaids were real, but that is the only way it could explain such a heavy trail, human hand prints on both sides of the trail And the blood.

george thought he was going crazy, following a trail that went from the water and behind a large rock that hid it from the view of humans. But as he turned the corner, he froze in a mixture of shock and confusion.

the tail was a deep, emerald green with a shimmering, iridescent quality to it. The scales were perfectly aligned, reflecting the light in a way that makes them appear to glisten. The tail was be long, elegant, and powerful, it looked like it could slice through the water.
