A few days passed, clay was starting to get the hang of the human world. As much as someone like him could anyway.

He learned what kinds of foods he liked and didnt like, how to shop, the currency of money (kind of). Where he was getting his money, that was from callie. Though where she got it from was something no one cared to answer.

He was kept to himself, quiet in town as he watched some of the humans be humans. He learned that they aren't violent people, most of them are actually quite nice. But then there are those ones that went on the massive boats, poaching whales and protected animals, the ones who put a spear through his tail.

The sun was setting, him sitting on that little staircase as the sky was a lousy color tonight. He heard George come out of his house, looking over to see that the brunette was now walking towards him.

He didn't bother to stand up, no one said a single word until George was already sitting down on the stairs right next to the man. It was a comfortable silence, nothing needed to be said and no one wanted to say anything. There were a few birds in the sky, making circles on circles as they simply enjoyed their freedom.

Are you doing anything tonight? George mumbled, the silence was quiet which let Clay hear him perfectly.

The man shook his head, signaling that he did in fact have not a single plan.

Would you want to come to the sanctuary with me? George began, I want to show you something. He sounded very mysterious, very vague with his words. Clay wasn't a big fan of things he didn't know, after all he was in a world he hardly knew.

What about the others? Clay said others but they both knew that he was talking about nick.

I've sent everyone home for the night. I mean the custodian might be there but he wouldn't be where we are going." George assured him, the brunette caught on when they first met that Clay was a very trusting person.

Okay. clay began, standing up and brushing the sand off of his pants. Let me grab my shoes. That was also something he had never thought he would say, shoes.

Okay.'' George nodded, he wasn't sure what to do while he waited but Clay left the back door open and allowed George to follow him in.

It was a very, very undecorated house. There were no paintings, a singular couch with a coffee table in the living room with a plain rug under it. The kitchen had a table with two chairs set to it. There were hardly any appliances from what the brunette could see, he wasn't sure if maybe this was also a house that hasn't been used much or if it was simply because clay didn't want to decorate. Afterall he was a stubborn man.

George stood in the kitchen mixed living room as he waited, clay coming out of a room with a pair of shoes and socks in his hand.

It didn't take long to get to the sanctuary, the city was falling asleep. The time was somewhere around seven pm by the time they got there. Clay was very skeptical, all of the lights were off and the only reason he could see was from the little light on George's phone.

The brunette guided him through the dark hallways, until they came to one that was dimly lit up. There were tanks on both sides of the hallway, little benches in the middle that allowed the visitors to sit down on.

Truth be told Blue High was a very, very popular aquarium. Not only was it a rescue that saved animals, but it was also somewhere that kept the animals safe when they couldn't live on their own in the ocean. It was almost like a sea world, but without all the animal abuse and neglect.

The tanks on both of their sides were lit with colorful lights, or that's what Clay thought they were until he got closer. There were plants in the tanks, modified with bioluminescence that gave a natural light. There were fish, they were very bright colors.
