I STOOD by John B's side, the weather having improved slightly. We found ourselves at the location of the potentially sunken Royal Merchant, though I harbored skepticism about the entire endeavor. Nevertheless, I'd accompanied John b because he needed it, and I was there for him no matter what.

With a firm voice, John b instructed, "Alright, JJ. Pin it here."

JJ complied, a lighthearted expression on his face as he responded, "Roger that! X marks the spot." His exaggerated tone and carefree demeanor brought a smile to my lips.

Our group stood aboard the boat, preparing for our journey to open sea in search of the elusive Royal Merchant. John b took charge, directing us all. Pope operated the drone, and Kie handled the tether. JJ steered the boat while I lingered near him, playing with a lighter.

Feeling somewhat left out, I'd offered my assistance, but Kie had declined, and John b kindly asked me to accompany JJ.

John b's voice echoed outside, his words tinged with a hint of excitement as he dropped the drone in the water. "Alright, ladies and gentlemen. To going full Kook."

A moment of anticipation filled the air, and then I heard John b's command directed at JJ. "Alright, JJ, we're right over it. Ten seconds northwest."

With a reassuring smile, JJ acknowledged the order. "Got it! Ten seconds northwest."

A mix of tension and anticipation swirled around us, as we neared the location of the Royal Merchant.

A hint of frustration slipped into my voice as I leaned back, sighing. "I feel so useless." JJ's gaze flickered towards me, a curious expression in his eyes.

"Why would you think that?" JJ asked, concern tracing the edges of his words.

I explained my reasoning, gesturing towards our friends working diligently. "Because everyone's doing something, and I'm just here, watching you."

A knowing smile played on JJ's lips as he glanced at me. "I can't blame you. Your view is pretty nice."

JJ's comment drew a playful eye-roll from me.

Kiara's voice cut through the air, announcing, "One hundred feet."

In an impulsive moment, I grabbed JJ's hat from his head and placed it on mine, enjoying the sense of lighthearted mischief it gave me. My gaze wandered to his strong arms, flexing as he worked with the wheel, causing me to squirm uncomfortably, stirring my legs.

JJ noticed my movement, casting a brief glance at my legs with a grin on his face, then quickly returning his gaze to the water.

Pope stared at the screen, surprise etched across his face as he gasped.
