AUBREY, THE love of my life, everyone knew it. Since John B and Sarah had came back from the 'dead' she seems happier. I think she's getting there but after what her dad did to her it kinda stuck with her, it made us drift apart but we drifted back together again because I pushed it. I need her. I had to push it. But I'm still worried for Bree, I mean I know she seems happier but sometimes she just tries to convince herself she is. She takes care of everyone but herself until she breaks.
I would kill for her to come back to me, because she is too blind to see that I'm right in front of her. I was always here, waiting for her.
"Remember when life was simple?" I turn to John b as I ask with a snort.
I watch my girl, Aubrey, with Kiara and Sarah getting some snacks and talking. I smile at how bright her smile is, only wondering if it's real.
"Yeah, like seven days ago?" John b snorts. "I mean dude, think about it. Ward's still out there and he's got the gold."
"I know. I know." I sighed.
"And, he killed my Dad-" John be starts.
"John B, I know, and we won't let that go. But I'm worried about you, man." I turn to John B who stops. "It's feels like it's ether you or him. And y'know who else I'm worried about? Sarah and Bree." I nod my head at the two girls beside Kiara.
"I mean like bro, like, it's Sarah's dad. You see what I'm saying?" I explained to John B who is looking at girls, hoping that he feels a little empathy.
"She knows what he did." John b numbly says making me scoff, giving up.
"What about Bree? She seems fine, JJ." John B shrugged as he faces me with his face furrowed like he was confused.
"That's the problem John B, we didn't know last time when she got bad. How do we know that she's not hiding it again? She's going crazy with the drugs, man. She thinks I can't see it. But, I do." I clench my jaw even imagining her in pain, pains me.
"She looks okay, JJ-" John B starts.
"Her ex boyfriend is a killer and abused her. Her dad abused her for years to make sure she worked every day to pay the bills and her brother ran away when she needed him. She took care of us and her family. She didn't have time to take care of herself. She doesn't know how. She relied on drugs for most of her life, man. She distances herself because she thinks we're better off without her. How could she be okay?" I run my hands through my hair, I felt my body grow cold.
