She tells him she's pregnant

They had been married for about a year by now when Bakugou had a business trip to go on for a week. The first day he was gone, Toshiko woke up with a headache and her stomach hurt. She tried not to think much of it and went to work. The next morning, she woke up early and felt like something was off, soon enough rushing to the bathroom to throw up. She called into the agency, telling them she wasn't sure if she'd come in today. Later in the day she felt better and went in. The next day she woke up the same, but with the day off, she felt better and had gone to Mitsuki's house to visit.

"When will I be getting some grandchildren?" "Oh, Mitsuki it's too soon. We've been married a year, neither of us is entirely sure if we're ready for that." "Well, whatever works best for you. Anyways, the topic at hand, who's hosting Christmas this year?"

Afterward, Toshiko had some errands to run when Katsuki called her. "Hey babe, what are you up to?" "Getting some groceries. What are you up to?" "We're taking a break at a food place. The other stupids are ordering so I decided to call you while I had the time." "Nice. Hey, it happened again by the way." "You puked?" "Yeah. But I don't know what I could have eaten." She picked up a package and read the expiration date. "Shit what's today..." she mumbled. "Uhh.. the 27th. Do you think the chicken expired?" "It couldn't be, I bought it last week." Putting the package in her basket she moved on. "Wait it's already the end of the month?" "Almost, why?" "No reason, it just feels like the month flew by."

She opened her period tracker app. She hadn't had it for over a month. "Katsuki I'l call you later, bye." "Uh, okay. Love you." "love you.." She grabbed the rest of the things she needed as well as a few tests before checking out and going home. She put her groceries away and immediately went to take the tests. She sat on the floor looking through her phone, waiting for the results to show up. 15 minutes later she checked it again and thought she might throw up again.

She sat frozen, staring at the 2 lines on the test in her hand. When she finally could bring herself to move, she sent a picture to Mina.

Pinky: ???
Pinky: Do you have the flu??
QueenExplosionMurder: no mina.
Pinky: ...
Pinky: Are you really...
QueenExplosionMurder: I think so.
Pinky: I'm coming over.

Within minutes, Toshiko heard a knock on her door. She pulled herself out of the bathroom and to the door. As soon as it opened, Mina hugged her. "I swear if you are trying to trick me right now-" "I promise I would never joke about this." She led her to the bathroom and handed her the test. "Omg, it's real." Toshiko leaned against the counter staring at it in Mina's hands.

"How am I gonna tell Kat? Just this morning I told Mitsuki that neither of us was ready for this yet and here I am." "Hey hey hey hey hey, this is gonna be okay, you know why? Because we all know that Katsuki loves you. He married you, he dated you for nearly a decade, he'd willingly die for you, he'd willingly kill for you if it wasn't illegal. The point is, he loves you a lot, so he's not gonna be mad at you or just suddenly stop loving you for something like this. If anything he'll be overjoyed."

"I should just call him now. But he's on a mission, I don't need him to cut it short for this. And I should tell him in person! Plus maybe the test is wrong. I should go to a doctor or something to make sure. Or take another test." "Are you not happy about it?" "I don't know how I feel about it! I'm kinda scared with this."

The next week when Katsuki was going to be back, Toshiko was worried out of her mind about how to tell him. How would he react? And then the dreaded moment came when she heard the front door open and his bag falls to the floor. "Damn, that mission lasted forever." She got up from her chair and went to the front door to see him hang up his coat. "Hey, Kat."

He looked back at her and she saw a big toothy grin on his face. "Well, hey there, pretty lady." He walked over and gave her a big hug. "Damn, I missed you so bad." She hugged him back and smiled. "How was your mission?" She asked him, pulling away and going into the kitchen to check on dinner. "Meh, it consisted of a bunch of missions and not a lot of me time." "Oh.. do you need some time alone?" "Like hell. You're my me time." He told her, hugging her from behind. "Omg, no Kat. That was so cheesy!"

He laughed at her and watched her cook for a few more seconds. "Speaking of cheese, you need some for that?" He asked, going over to the fridge. "Uh, I don't think we have any." "Really? I thought you got groceries last week." "I-I did. I just forgot to add cheese to the list." "Then why did you decide to make a meal with cheese?" Toshiko sighed and rubbed her temples. "Because, Katsuki, I didn't realize I forgot it until I was halfway done."

"Alright, I'm sorry." He walked over and leaned on the counter next to her. "Tough day?" "You could say that." "What happened?" He asked her, standing up again. "Nothing important. Dinner should be ready soon, so you can take your stuff upstairs." Katsuki then took his bag and went to their room to change. As Toshiko was plating their food, her phone buzzed. Picking it up Mina started asking questions.

"Hey has Katsuki gotten home yet if so have you told him about the baby if not where is he so you can tell him about the baby?" "Whoa, Mina chill. Yeah, he's home." "Finallyyyyyy. Did you tell him yet?" "No..." "Why not?!?" "Cus I don't know how to tell him!" "Ughhhhhhh girl." "You know Kat, what if he gets mad or something." "As if he could get mad at you. You can't keep it from him." "I know I know. I'll tell him."

"Tell me what?" Toshiko jumped and dropped her phone with a loud thud. Turning around she met Katsuki, looking at her with a raised eyebrow. "Katsuki you scared the shit out of me." She picked up her phone and told Mina bye before hanging it up and plating the other plate. "You were talking about me, what did you have to tell me?" "Nothing oh look dinner is ready, let's eat." She sat down with Katsuki next to her, as they both began to eat.

"Tosh, I know something up." She continued eating and ignored him. After a few minutes, Toshiko stopped and leaned back, holding her stomach, thinking. "Kat." "Hm?" "How would you feel about a baby?" He stopped eating and looked at her in a kind of shock. He had thought he'd be the first one to bring up children of any sort during their marriage.

"Well, would you want one?" She sucked in a breath and shrugged. "I guess so." He leaned over and kissed her cheek. "Well, I would love a little brat running around." Toshiko abruptly got up and went upstairs. "Hey! What's wrong?" He stood up after her and started to follow when she came back down and handed something to him. He gave her a questioning look before looking down at it.

He was met with two red lines on a test. Looking back up at Toshiko, she was holding herself again and taking deep breaths with her eyes closed. She was fighting her panic. "Is this real?" She nodded silently. They were both silent before Katsuki yelled out, "This is great!" She opened her eyes and sucked in a breath. "Really?" "Hell yes!" He lifted her up and kissed her. "So you're not disappointed or upset?" "Should I be?" She laughed a bit. "I guess not."

He put her down and kissed her. "How long have you known this?!?" "Last Thursday," she shrugged. "Fuck you should have told me the second I walked through the door," he told her, kissing her again. "God what are we going to name it?? We have to start decorating its room. Good how many diapers do we have to buy??" "Whoa, katsuki calm down. It's barely even a fetus yet I would think."

"Right. Right, I'm getting ahead of it... I'm just...I'm so happy!" He grins and kisses her again, against the wall of the stairs. He pulled away and still grinned at her. "You gonna be a mom, and I'm gonna be a dad." She nodded and grinned back. "I guess so!"
