That's not our daughter

"Mommy, are you going to sleep with us??" Hanasu asked. She had wanted to sleep with her parents tonight, rather than in her room because she was having nightmares. Katsuki was already ready for bed. He was going to go sleep with Hanasu while Toshiko worked late on some documents. "I will Hana. I just have to finish some work first okay?" She nodded and walked over to her, giving her a hug goodnight. Katsuki came over and picked her up before kissing Toshiko. "Don't work too late. I know you." She smiled at him, "Don't worry."

"Say goodnight to Mommy!" Katsuki told Hanasu as he carried her into the hallway."Goodnight Mommy!!!!" Toshiko smiled at her and waved goodnight, before returning to her work.

It was almost 2 in the morning when Toshiko paused her work. "Mommy?! I need you!!" She heard Hanasu call her from her room. That's odd she thought. I was sure Katsuki had put her to bed. "Mommy come quick!!" She stood up from her chair and headed towards her room. "Comming sweetie."

Just as she reached the hallway she felt someone yank her back towards them. Looking up she saw Katsuki holding her, one hand on each shoulder. "Kat, what-" "SHH." She gave him a really confused look. "I have to see what Hanasu needs," she whispered. "I hear that too okay? But-" "Mommy!! Hurry!!"  Katsuki winced at the yelling and wrapped his arm around her shoulder to keep her close. "-Tosh, Hana is sleeping with us tonight." The look of fear and realization that spread on Toshiko's face was unmistakable. She wrapped an arm around his torso as they both looked down the hallway towards her door. "But... whose calling for me then."

"MOMMY !!!"

Katsuki and Toshiko immediately squeezed each other tighter, Katsuki raising his other hand towards the hallway so he could use his quirk if necessary. "We have to go get Hanasu." "I'll stay here to make sure it doesn't come out or anything. You go get her." "What- katsuki you could get hurt!" "This thing could sneak attack us if I don't watch it."

"Just watch from the hallway!" "Tch, okay." Both of them backed up flinching at the loud sound of whatever it was screaming for Toshiko. Once they reached the hallway, Toshiko let go of Katsuki and ran into the room. She gently shook Hanasu to wake her up.

"MOM-"

Hanasu woke up and the yelling stopped mid-scream. Hanasu started crying and hugged her mother, rambling to her about her bad dream. "Mommy I had a bad dream that the monster under the bed tried to eat you and it was pretending to be me and it made me scared because I didn't want it to hurt you and it kept getting loud and-and" "Wait wait what? The monster tried to eat me? Was it calling for me?" She sniffed, "Mhm."

She picked up hanasu and went to open the door. "Kat." "Hey, is everything okay?" "I think Hanasu got her quirk." "Wait what! Let me see it!" "We just did. We should take her to a doctor tomorrow, to confirm what it is."
