POV: Miles
Destination: Diner
"Something isn't right." Gwen said as she snapped me out of my daydreaming.
"What isn't right?" I asked, "You know that feeling you get when another spider-man or whatever comes close to us?" she asked as she took a french fry, "Yeah." "Well, I've been feeling it a lot lately." I groaned, "Can we go one hour without talking about saving the world." I whispered.
"This is our job Miles!" she whisper shouted, "What else can you have in mind in this situation?!?" she asked.
"Well... I've been hanging around Y/n a lot, so I wouldn't know." she scoffed and crossed her arms as she leaned back, "She is distracting you." she said as she rolled her eyes.
"Hey! She is not! She just- makes me forget about the world, you know, whenever I am with her." I said as I ate a fry. "I thought you liked her?" I questioned, she choked on her fry and started coughing.
"Me!?! I do not have a crush on her!" Gwen quickly said, I raised my eyebrow. "Yeah I meant as in like her as a friend." "Oh." she said as she looked at the window.
"You okay?" I asked as I drank from my cup, "Perfect, just, peachy." she said quietly. "So, apparently one of the guys in my floor are throwing a party in the schools basement." I said with a smile.
"We are not going to a party." she said. "Come on! We always have the hero pressure! For once, let's have fun!" I said.
She sighed, "Fine."
//Time skip//
"There is no way there is a party down there." Gwen said as we stared at the dark empty entrance. I chuckled and grabbed her hand and dragged her into the basement, we heard loud music as we walked closer, there was a door, so I knocked on it, someone opened the window, "Ah! Not a teacher!" a student said as they closed the window and opened the door, revealing a huge party happening.
The colors were silver, but the lighting kept changing from purple, pink, to red. "Well this is fun!" I said as I turned to Gwen who was singing along with the song, so high by doja cat.
"NO way you like this song?" I asked, she giggled, "Love her music! Can't blame me!" Gwen said as she led me to the dance floor, where everyone danced, we laughed as we couldn't dance as good as everyone, I turned to see some girls squealing and guys cheering (hey that rhymed) as three girls got on top of the bar table and started dancing, two of those girls being Y/n and Natalie.
I stopped dancing as I stared at Y/n.
She smiled as her and Natalie danced in sync. They got along great, the song started to shift, and they both giggled as they got off the table and grabbed a drink, talking to eachother.
Y/n laughed at something the other girls whispered.
She looked so pretty.
"You look creepy staring." Gwen said, "You must love the view." she joked. I chuckled and drank from a red cup, all of a sudden, she stopped talking and her eyes met mines.
She gave me a small smile before her friends got her attention.
I turned to Gwen, "What is wrong with me." I said with a sigh, "You might have fallen for her." "Me! Please, she wants to set me up with someone. She wouldn't like me!" I exclaimed.
"I didn't say that, Miles." Gwen said as she rolled her eyes, "Can you just talk to her! Please!" she said sounding annoyed, "Fine!"
