Shes out and about!
Ladies and gentlemen-
Always Forever
"Miles."
The boy with short curly hair poked his head out to look at me.
"Yes?"
"Did you make the salad for Daniella's birthday party?" I asked.
He chuckled and showed me a big bowl of salad, "Of course."
"Hey, where's Marcos? He better not be wearing that ugly shirt he always wears, he needs to look nice and you need to help me instead of not backing me up! " I exclaimed, "I'm right here mom." My 12 year old son said as he came in, he looked just like my husband, he had big brown eyes, dark skin, and curls.
I fell pregnant when I was 22, but because of how much we had to travel from earth to earth, it kept us in our mid 20s and Marcos- well, 12.
"Why can't I just wear my favorite shirt?" He asked as he looked at his button up, "Porque the theme is formal. And you need to listen to your mom more! If not im gonna start driving you to school!" Marcos hated Miles driving him to school, mostly because he'd shout "I love you son!" All the time and ask for him to say it back.
"Fine. But you better not expect me to socialize with Natalie's daughter." "You never even met her!" I pointed out.
"Exactly, what if she's a weirdo." I smacked my hand with my forehead.
"I didn't educate you to be a dick." I said as I got up.
I stopped being Spider-Woman when I had Marcos, Miles stopped but I knew he would secretly go on missions, and I'd always get mad at him for it, he had to stop. People (aka Gwen) wonder why, well it puts his life in danger, the last thing is for our son to not have a father.
Marcos honestly hates the fact that we used to be heroes.
He always hears at school crazy theories that one day Spiderman and spider-woman will return, like if we're Jesus or something.
'It's so annoying.' He always says.
"Jesus mom I'm sorry, guess I'll stop." My son said as he went to the cabinet to grab a bag of chips.
When I was younger I had a lot of money, especially at his age, and god I was a horrible person, I always tried pushing my son away from that route, especially because miles and I were quite successful, I tried to raise him to be humble and kind.
Instead...
You know that saying that goes something like, "Your child is the parents karma for how they used to be."
Yup.
That's what you can say about us.
I walked out to the balcony and took out my pack of cammels.
I lit one up and began smoking.
"Hey." Miles said as he walked out with me, "Hey. I deserve this one." I quickly said, "You do, you do." he was trying to show he was on my side, he hugged my waist and put his head on my shoulder, "God what am I doing wrong?" I asked as I put the cigarette in my mouth, "Nothing, you're a wonderful mom." he said as he kissed my cheek and I picked out my cigarette from my mouth.
"And if you let me-" he picked up my fingers, "An amazing wife." he said as he put a ring on my finger.
My eyes widened and I looked at him, "Are you for real?"
"Of course mi vida."
I smiled but then everything started fading.
Then I began waking up.
None of it was real.
Well, at least Marcos was.
