Y/N POV

The next day came by, classes flew by fast. I just didn't have any friends, I walked to my locker and put in my books, and you know how I'm those movies there's those confident girls that walk down the hallway with their two other friends and everyone has their attention on them? Well...

"Look... It's Valerie." People we're whispering. Weird.

I had to go to an AP class so I just headed straight there. Once I walked in I sat at an empty table.

The class filled up and Valerie sat next to me. She wasn't your typical "I'm popular because I'm blonde and vicious" type of girl.

I acted like it was no big deal. "New?" She asked. I turned around to look at her and nodded. "Welcome. To the preppiest school in Brooklyn." She said offering her hand. I shook it. "I mean I've been to a preppier school but still. Just wish people were nicer." I said whispering at the last part.

"People will eventually forget. No worries, then you won't have to feel bad. I'm Valerie by the way." She said.

"Y/n." I replied.

The teacher began her lesson. Ten minutes later the door freaked open. We all faced our attention to who was coming in. And it was Natalie.

"And here I thought she was skipping again." Valerie said. "You know her?" I asked. "Do I know her? Well yeah she's-" "Late." The teacher interrupted.

"Well it wasn't my fault I swear Ms. It's just that-" "No excuses Natalie. Detention. Why can't you be more like your sister?" The teacher asked.

"Geez, thats harsh..." I quietly said. Valerie looked mad. "Why don't you sit with her instead. Maybe being next to her will inspire to do more." The teacher scowled.

She rolled her eyes and then made eye contact with me, then sat down.

"Mom and dad ARENT working their asses off just for you to cut class." Valerie said. "Mom and dad should've aborted me the moment they figured out that I was in their stomache. Yet I'm still here." Natalie said.

"Ugh... lets not argue in front of Y/n." Valerie said. "You brought it up." Natalie said and bit her pen.
