POV: Yours

Destination: The MALLLLLL

My mom handed me a bunch of cargo pants, "Back in the day, these were so cute." my mom said as I put one of them on.

"God mom- this is cute." I said as I put on a black cardigan. "Nope, doesn't look good." she said, "We can find it somewhere else honey." she said before she walked to the register.

When she finished paying, we made our way to the next store.

"Hold on honey I'll catch up with you, I'm getting a phone call." my mom said as she walked out of the store.

I walked through the isles and saw a black tank top and reached out to get it, my hands met with someone else's. "Oh- I am so sorry-" I stopped when I saw who was going to grab it. Gwen.

"Y/n- hey!" she said awkwardly, I glared at her, and she intermediately looked hurt. "Keep the shirt." I said as I walked away. "No- Y/n! Wait." she said as she grabbed my wrist, "Hold on. I am really sorry. Miles is keeping a secret and it's about me, and I don't feel ready to tell you but-" she sighed in defeat.

"I'm gay." she said.

My eyes widened, "Seriously?" I asked as I stepped forward.

"Yeah." she said as she looked into my eyes, looking for an emotion, "Well why didn't you say so?" I asked, "Thought everyone would hate me." she said as she looked down, "Especially you." "Me?!?" I whisper shouted, "Yeah..." I hugged her tight, "God I could never hate you!" I said as I pulled away.

She gave me a small smile, but it quickly faded away, and she let go of my arms, "Miles only wanted to protect me, he really does like you."

"Fuck- I told him to never speak to me again Gwen!" I said as I smacked my forehead. "Don't worry, it's hard for him being away from you." she said as she crossed her arms, I raised my eyebrow, "I do not get it-" "The night of the party, you got on top of the table and danced, he stared at you like you were the most beautiful thing he's seen." she said as she looked at my eyes.

"I doubt that's what he was thinking." I said feeling insecure.

"Please, Y/n! You were the prettiest girl in the room." she said as she held my hand.

I smiled and looked down, "That means a lot Gwen." I said before I heard my mom call for my name, "I have to go, thank you for being a good friend Gwen!" I said as I let go of her hands, her smile turned into sadness. Is she okay?

"Hey, anytime."
