No one knows how and when the Axalthi came to this world, but there are few eye witnesses from a nearby fishing village seeing a distortion in the sky at the island where the Water Colossus is located. According to one Axalthi member: they came from a place called blue space, and that is possibly an another dimension that they called home.
Description: the Axalthi are a very mysterious race of wish granters, and are best described as extradimensional alien genies. They look like humans, but their bodies are glowing in a white light, not to mention that their hair and facial hair is metallic and sometimes plated. It makes them resemble robots or humanoid night lights, but it's unclear if they're biological in origin or not. They speak in a rather stilted and sometimes garbled manner, in which it is slightly unsettling to anyone not used to them. However, they can experience emotions like anger, sadness, joy, or disgust. Anyone who asks too many questions regarding the Aquan will make them enraged to the point that they simply attack, since there is a rumor that the direct descendants of the Aquan that used to live in the Water Colossus disappeared right after the appearance of the Axalthi.
Powers: the Axalthi have powers that makes them similar to genies, even though genies don't exist in the world that this book takes place in.
Shapeshifting: one of the natural abilities of the Axalthi, they can shapeshift into myriad of things like people, animals, or objects.
Smoke form: another of the natural abilities of of the Axalthi, they can transform into a puff of smoke before solidifying back to normal. It is rather useful for stealth or squeezing into tight spaces, in which they can be imprisoned into a container.
Wish magic: their main magic, they can only grant two wishes per person. Wish magic is almost unheard of in the world, since none of the magicians aren't capable of replicating it. Because of this, it can be dangerous when comes to making a wish. Example: if someone doesn't specify their wish, then they'll get exactly what they wanted but not in the way they expected. Sometimes a member of the Axalthi who grants a wish ended up causing the wish to have an ironic twist, in which screws over the one who made that wish. There's a chance that a wish is deemed pure when someone made a wish, in which it won't have the negative qualities once granted.
Weaknesses: like genies, it is possible to trap a member of the Axalthi inside a container. Be it a bottle, tea pot, a box, etc. Once contained, they cannot leave until someone rubs on the container or destroying it. Also, they cannot stand cold temperatures, which prevents them from transforming into a puff of smoke. When that happens, they are somewhat vulnerable to melee attacks, but are highly resistant to magical attacks.
Culture: not much is known about their culture, but their outfits looked ancient with unknown symbols embroidered on clothing. However, they are slowly blending their culture with that of the Aquan like wearing Greco- Roman styled clothing.
