"Aaaah!! It stings!!" Screamed Basselt.
"Of course it stings, just try and man up. This medicine can help treat the wounds, to keep it from being infected" said Eleanor as she poured the liquid medicine on the wound on his arm.
He grunted in pain as he tightens his grip on the blanket that was covering him, then Eleanor wrapped bandages over the wounds of both the torso and the arm. He groans as he lay his head on the pillow and closed his eyes to rest, so Doris had to pull the blanket up to his neck.
"Its difficult for us to escort him all the way to here in this ship" said Eleanor.
"I know, but at least you had to treat his wounds and bandaged them. A few hours, and his wounds would've fostered and get infected" assured Doris.
Then a servant come into the room.
"Lady Doris! There are sightings of four ships heading this way, and each of them have elemental emblems!" Announced the servant.
"They must be the Alliance of the elements heading this way, no doubt that they want us to be allied to them" said Doris.
"Alliance of the elements?" Asked Eleanor.
"Yes, they are a confederation of all four elemental tribes throughout the world. Each of them represent the elements: fire, air, light, and dark. We the Aquan and the Tellus both represent water and earth, but we have yet to join the alliance" she explained.
Soon enough, it was time for Doris and Eleanor to go up deck to go and meet with the leaders of the Alliance. When they reached above deck, they saw four ships that sailed closer and closer to the Aquan fleet. Eventually, the four ships of the Alliance reached shore next to the flag ship that Doris and Eleanor are on. The duo got off the ship while being attended by four water magicians, and wait at the shore for the leaders to arrive. It wasn't long until a group of four people got off from their respective ships and walked towards them. One of them that Eleanor easily recognized, and it was a bald man wearing only a wool kaunake and is carrying a rod made from lapis lazuli.
"I do believe that you are the leader of the Aquan, I presume?" Questioned the bald man.
"Indeed I am, my name is Doris" she introduced.
"Interesting, my name is-" before the bald man can finish his sentence, Eleanor cut him off.
"I know who you are. You are Ur- Pabilsag, king of the Equinox" said Eleanor.
"W-What? How did you know? Do I even know you?" Asked Ur Pabilsag in a surprised tone.
"I'm sorry to cut you off, your majesty. My name is Eleanor, a water magician from the future" She introduced herself.
It made Ur- Pabilsag confused and intrigued, he went sure if he can believe her or not. The only evidence is her outfit doesn't match the designs of the Aquan women, but that's about it. Doris explained to him what happened yesterday, about how Eleanor appeared from the future by a wish from a race of genie like aliens from another dimension, and how she warned her and Basselt about their fates. He was shocked at this, for it is the first time someone from the future has traveled back in time.
"Where is the leader of the Tellus?" Asked Ur- Pabilsag.
"He's resting below deck in one of the rooms, because he was wounded from fighting a bear that had attacked him" replied Eleanor.
"I'm sorry to hear this, but as soon as he wakes up, tell him to meet me and the leaders over at my ship" he said.
One of the leaders was a man who looked like a hardened warrior, he wore a red and white double crown, a shendyt (a type of cloth that Egyptian men wore around their waists), and golden sandals. His left eye is milky white with a scar over it, and he is missing his right cheek as it exposed his teeth and gums.
"I am Scorpion the first, unifier of the land of fire and king of the Ignis tribe!" He introduced in a rough sounding voice.
Then he pointed at each of two leaders of the elemental tribes, and it consists of: a woman wearing a tall ornate headdress, and a man wearing a black robe with gold patterns embroidered on the edge of the sleeves and a mask made with pieces of jade.
"This one here is Ukok, princess of the Zephyr. And the other is Pakal, king of the Umbra. I look forward into seeing you, Lady Doris, and Basselt of the Tellus" he said as he leave alongside of the two leaders.
Doris was at a loss for words, for she is nervous about entering the alliance along with Basselt. She then sent Eleanor back to the ship to wake Basselt, and tell the attendants to escort him towards the ship of the Equinox. Soon afterwards, she entered the Equinox ship to join up with the leaders of the elemental tribes. The inside of the ship has images of stars and shooting stars carved onto the wood, large slabs of lapis lazuli on the ceiling invoked the scenery of the night sky with a crescent moon plastered on it, and there were glowing lines of energy connecting each room and halls. She managed to find the room where each of the leaders are meeting in, and they were expecting her.
"Ah, you're here Doris. I assume that Basselt is yet to appear due to his wounds?" Said Ur- Pabilsag.
"He is coming, be patient" she said as she sat down on the stone chair.
It wasn't long until what she says comes true: Eleanor enters the room with Basselt in tow. From the looks of it, the expression on Basselts face was that of tiredness and irritation.
"You just had to take me here, rather than let me sleep on the bed" he muttered while wiping the drool from the corner of his mouth.
"Sorry, but orders are orders" replied Eleanor as she helped him over to the chair.
"So this is the leader of the Tellus? I didn't expect him to look primitive compared to us" remarked Ukok.
"Princess Ukok! It is very rude about comparing cultures, even with the ones that are less developed than us!" Scolded Ur- Pabilsag.
Without further ado, Ur Pabilsag brought a clay tablet on the table and begin writing on it with a chisel. When he's done, he passes on to Scorpion the first to sign, then it's Princess Ukok's turn, and Pakal' turn. After that, the king of the Umbra tribe passes the clay tablet over to Doris for her to sign. She began writing her name and the name of her tribe, before passing the clay tablet over to Basselt for him to sign.
"What we all have written down is a treaty and a pact that I have made, that way, it is a sign that we all have entered an alliance in order to deal with a crisis located on the other side of the world" explained Ur- Pabilsag.
"What kind of crisis?" Asked Eleanor.
"Here's what I know: this crisis he speaks of is the danger of the elements going haywire, and when that happens, the world will become very unstable due to the elements running amok. Fire burns uncontrollable, water slowly turning cloudy, storms raged through the sky as tornados ravaged the terrain, the soil become less fertile while earthquakes break continents apart, light glows dim, and shadows slowly disappear. We need anyone who are able to quell the elemental fury, and I don't know who is responsible for this crisis, but we are getting to the bottom of this" explained Scorpion the first.
"Precisely, if we're able to locate the person responsible, then we have to defeat them. Except for one thing: even if we defeat this person, I get the feeling that the elements will not return to normal on their own. We have to build these elemental structures to stabilize the elements in order to help the world from its steady decline, in which it will put civilization at ease" said Pakal.
"That's why I will choose you, Eleanor, to help us out in the crisis" said Ur- Pabilsag.
"I... um... I'm not sure" said Eleanor.
"There's no need to rush, but we're counting on you" reassured Doris".
Authors note: sorry for the delay, am having a bit of writers block.
