"No look! Look!" I compare my arm color to Maddie, showing her I got more tan this past week end in Miami.
"That's only a little though. Look at Kenzie" Maddie laughs pointing at her sister, who got totally tan this weekend.
Mom licks her teeth. "Had your tops on backwards"
I look at her quickly. "You're joking" I look down at it.
"Hey that's mine!" Maddie pulls me down to see the top better.
I roll my eyes at her and stick my tounge out. Mom adjusted my top and Miss Abby called us in for pyramid.
"Come on ladies, lets go! Get in here with those fabulous tans! Come on! Come on!" Miss Abby smiles as we get into line.
"First on the pyramid" Miss Abby starts. Wow we're getting right into it today. "Nia. Honey, my heart stopped. I don't want it to happen again and I don't think it ever should have happened to begin with"
Nia should have been higher. She got fourth! I don't think that's fair.
"Moving on. Mackenzie. Kenzie, there's some things to improve on and you know that" Miss Abby informs her.
Kenzie nods with a smile on her face.
"Next, Brooke. I thought you did a great job, but there was no solo, no trio, so not much to judge you on" Miss Abby shrugs.
Christi and Kelly look at each other with an annoyed smile and glint in their eyes.
"Moving up, Paige. You quit the trio, but worked through the pain for the group number. It was very mature of you to not let that trio go to waste."
"Moving on, Chloe. The solo was excellent, however the trio was a little shaky."
"Next Maddie. You did great with your solo. I told you where those judges were and you never took your eyes off of them."
"Alright, at the top of the pyramid. Hadley, I challenged you to see if you could stay there for three weeks in a row and you did. I told you how tough that competition was and how you couldn't lose, and you didn't let it happen and you won the whole thing."
I'm so happy I'm on the top of the pyramid again. I just hope I don't let Miss Abby down. -Hadley

"Now, moving on." Miss Abby starts. "Each and every one of you are very lucky little girls. You have beautiful homes. You have everything you need. Some kids aren't that lucky. So our group routine is about homeless sisters. The number is entitled 'Trapped' and we will be going to Chicago. It's a lyrical number"
"There're also going to be two solos this weekend, Maddie you will be doing a lyrical solo entitled reflections and Hadley you will be doing lyrical solo entitled Wish Upon a Star"
"You both better dance your hearts out and dance your butt off"
We both nod, now feeling the pressure again.
"We also have a trio. And this is a new trio. I'm going to start mixing things up. So, Chloe you're in the trio, Maddie you're in the trio, and Nia you're in the trio" She announces.
Nia claps her hands and jumps up and down. I wrap an arm around her and Paige grabs her hand, congratulating her.
"Yay!" They all exclaim.
"Nia you've a lot to prove this week. If you don't keep up with Maddie and Chloe.." Miss Abby gives Nia a look.
"Now girls and moms, listen up. I found out that we will be competing against Candy Apples in Chicago at Company dance. I also found out... that Mikayla will be there" Miss Abby turns to me.
