"Watch your step honey" Melissa says. "Hold Maddie's hand when you cross"

This week we're in Florida, I'm really excited.

"Kenzie, let's go. Chop, chop" Melissa holds her hand.

"I'm kinda sad my mom isn't here" I say.

"I know honey, but you're hanging with us for now!"

"Girls lets go! Come on!" Miss Abby yelled from inside.

"All right. Where's Cathy? Where's Vivi-Anne?" Miss Abby asks.

"Don't know" Melissa shrugs.

"Right now I am at the end of my rope with Cathy, this is just rude. Lets move onto pyramid"

"Mackenzie, now you, Vivi-Anne, and Mia were supposed to have a trio, but no Vivi or Mia for some reason? So you might be doin 'Summer' by yourself" Kenzie's face drops a little.

My mom and Mia are in Pittsburg for Mia's soccer game. My mom didn't wanna miss it so Melissa is taking care of me.

"Chloe, you're going to take a week off. I'm not going to do a new solo for you. I think you need to work on your technique"

Chloe and I look at each other, I squeeze her hand in reassurance. I thought Chloe did great last week.

"Nia. I was happy with you, your mother is not happy with the choreography so we're going to work on that. Mom I don't want any more altercations like Connecticut."

"It was a conversation" Holly shrugs.

"I don't want any more conversations like Connecticut. I want you to work on that"

"Paige, not a lot to judge you on. You danced in the group and you didn't really pull my eye"

"Brooke, same thing. You have to work on the technique in groups. All eyes are on you. You are the leader and you have to act like it"

"Maddie, you won. It was great, costume was gorgeous, everything clicked. I just don't wanna see tears. You're at the top of the age scale. You did a beautiful job."

"And at the top of the pyramid, Hadley. You won your age division, you won the Jr title, and." She pauses. "you're going to be on Broadway."

I nod my head and Maddie hugs me.

"That's a big deal. You are setting a path for the ALDC now, you should be very proud of yourself"

"Let's talk about the group number for this week's competition. The number is called 'Snapshot'. You're all models. So who's modeled before?"

We all raise our hands and strike some silly poses.

"You've all modeled. Perfect, so you know what the run way is. What else is at a fashion show?"

I raise my hand. "Picture people" I pretend to have a camera.

"A photographer, yes. I've got a lot to think about over the last 24 hours. And I think we need to bring a boy in to be the photographer. What do you think?"

"Yes" Melissa says.

"Brooke" Christi starts.

Brooke makes a weird face. I wiggle my eyebrows at her.

"I have a surprise for all of you, a big surprise. Here's our photographer" She pulls of the piece of paper.
