Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Holly who loved to sing, but she was terrible at it. She didn't know how to make it sound good, but that didn't stop her from dreaming. One day, she asked her mother for help and her mother gave her some buttermint candy and told her it was magic. Holly was skeptical but she ate it anyway.
The next day, when Holly tried singing again she couldn't believe her ears. She sounded like Beyonce! She was overjoyed, but realized she couldn't play music so she asked her dad for help. He gave her some gloves and told her they were magic.Sure enough, the next day, when she tried playing the guitar, she sounded like John Mayer. She was ecstatic but then realized she still couldn't dance.
So, she went to her brother. He gave her some shoes and told her those were magical too. Sure enough, the next day, when Holly tried out her new dance moves, she was as good as Chris Brown.
Confidence growing, Holly signed up for her school's talent show and to her surprise, she won first place. But despite her joy, something was still missing. Holly realized it was all because of the magic- the candy, the gloves, and the shoes. Her family then told her gentley that magic isn't real, but it was her own confidence that allowed her to succeed.
Holly understood and was thankful to her family. She was feeling a new joy- the joy of accomplishment from her own hardwork and determination. It was then and there that Holly learned that true magic is in oneself.
