Holly had always been an optimist, but she had no reason to be so when she was thrown in prison for a crime she didn't commit. She had a tough time there, getting beaten up almost everyday and her spirit slowly being broken into pieces.
The only person who showed her any kindness was a male prison guard who noticed her plight and started to look into her case. Holly was too broken and sad to even care, but the guard was determined to prove her innocence. After a long and tedious appeal, Holly's ex-boyfriend was found to be the true robber and Holly was proven innocent.
Unfortunately, life outside of prison was no easier for Holly. She had lost her apartment due to not paying rent and her beloved fish had died while she was away.
Just when Holly was about to give up all hope, the prison guard approached her. He had found the box she had been living in and asked if she wanted to go out for coffee sometime. Holly was moved and accepted the offer.
Years later, Holly was walking down the aisle to marry the same prison guard who had saved her. This time, her tears were tears of happiness.
