I spent most of the night with Alby, Gally, and Newt showing me around. "Okay, it's time to get you to bed greenie," Alby says before looking out at the hammocks and furrowing his brows "You know what, Gally, Newt bring her to the homestead. She'll switch between your rooms until we've picked a second in command," Alby tells us and I have to fight off a sigh at the idea of sleeping in the same room as the brooding Gally but sleeping near Newt doesn't seem horrible. "Newt you take her tonight, I'm going to bed," Gally says before hurrying off towards the homestead.

"This way love," Newt says leading the way to the homestead. When we enter the homestead and Newt quickly shows me to his room and points across the hall to Gally's as well. As we enter Newt's room he blushes and scratches the back of his neck as he looks at the lone bed. "I can sleep on the floor, and you can take the bed," he tells me and a blush then finds its way to my cheeks "I don't mind sharing, I don't want to make you sleep on the floor," I tell him trying to hide any nerves in my voice. Newt nods quickly and we head to the bed, it's a single bed so we're smushed together.

We're curled up facing each other and I have to force myself to keep my eyes closed so I don't stare at the handsome boy in front of me. Eventually, I fall into a dreamless sleep next to Newt.

~Next Morning~

"Get up you two," I hear an annoyed voice and I open my eyes to see an annoyed Gally storming out of the room. I try to move to get up, but an arm holds me in place causing a slight blush to cover my face. "Newt," I call and he slightly tightens his grip around me "Newt, we have to get up. Gally was already in here, and I really don't want him to come back," I tell Newt, and he finally stirs awake. "Bloody hell, come on then," he tells me before moving out of the bed, Newt straightens his clothes out and throws his button-up and bag back on. I straighten myself up as well, resecuring my hair in its ponytail, and then we hurry after Gally.

"Gally!" Newt shouts after him and I can see Gally's shoulders tighten as he turns around to meet Newt. Although I know the two boys won't break into a fight their body language says differently as they square their shoulders at each other. "Looks like you had a good night's sleep," Gally says sarcastically to Newt and Newt looks back at me. "(Y/n), how about you go catch up with Alby, he should be in the gardens, tell him a glader needed us," Newt tells me and I narrow my eyes at the two unsure of what's unfolding between them. "Alright," I tell him before passing the two boys and heading toward what I assume to be the gardens.

Gally's POV

I narrow my eyes at Newt as the shebean passes by us "What do you think you were doing shank?" I question the Brit and he scoffs "Sleeping Gally, she insisted on sharing the bed last night, and that's all we did," Newt tells me and I search his eyes for the lie. "What's stopping me from telling Alby about you just sharing a bed with the girl of the glade?" I ask him and Newt raises his chin to me "Because you'll just look stupid, two against one here Gal," he tells me and I scoff "As if what she says matters she's just some stupid greenie," I tell him and Newt shakes his head "Whatever Gally," he tells me before leaving me to simmer in my rage. My eyes search the glade until they fall on (Y/n). She's gonna screw everything up, I think as I feel the sting of my stab wound she'd given me just yesterday.
