Violet and Peter met up in the library during their free period first thing. She told him about the weapon and the people in dog masks.

"I'll get Ned to look into it." he said

"Don't say anything about me though." Violet said. She was still getting used to the fact many people knew her identity, she had no interest in adding more people to that list.

"Don't worry I won't" he flicked a quick text to Ned asking him to look into it.

"Do you think that the vulture is back?" she whispered.

"What?"

"Well it's his type of tech, in his former territory."

"He's in jail."

"I know but did he have an apprentice or something?"

"I don't know."

"I'm going back to the building tonight to see if I can find anything."

"I'll come with you."

Violet nodded and turned back to the speech she was meant to be writing.

"We chose to do the ecosystem of a developed area with the example of manhattan because it is the ecosystem we are most familiar with and one that most people don't realise they are a part of." Violet read off the note cards in her hands. Peter stood beside her controlling the holotable. Of all of the people that had presented, Violet was surprised that they didn't have the most elaborate presentation, perhaps the most technologically advanced, but after one group came into the classroom singing Violet was no longer worried about being over the top. Just what happens when you put a bunch of smart rich kids together.

"Manhattan has an average rainfall of 46.6 inches per year" Violet's voice shook as she spoke. "And 26 inches of snow. The highest average high temperature in July at 86 degrees and the lowest average high is 39 degrees in January."

Peter did some fancy thing and the holotable showed a projection of rain clouds over New york. Violet listed the UV index and the number of sunny days. More fancy projections went up on the screen as she did. She went on about the producers and consumers and then her classmates were invited to look at the information modules Peter and her had made. They stood to the side and let them take a look.

"Do you want me to speak for the last part?" Peter asked her.

"I'm fine."

"Are you sure, I know you don't like public speaking."

"You made the holotable, it's only fair that I speak."

"If you're sure."

Mr Davis ushered everyone back to their seats so they could deliver their conclusion.

"Manhattan has an interesting ecosystem, unique to a large city. Both plants and animals have overcome challenges created by humans but they have learnt to thrive in the small pockets of nature in the city."

which was a sophisticated way of saying a family of rats living in a trash can.

"Thankyou for listening." Violet said and put her thumbs up. They were met by an applause which was unexpected but a good sign. Violet and Peter worked on packing up the holotable while the next pair set up. They made their way to their seats and watched the next presentation.

Peter and Violet met at the Brooklyn bridge. Their usual meeting spot. They swung to the sight of the arms deal and assessed the damage. The entire left side of the building had come down. A small portion of the left side was still standing but did not look very stable. The entire area was covered in red caution tape and tall fences had been erected around the building. Violet and Peter easily jumped over it.
