Violet paused at the entrance to her new 'home'. Usually that meant it was horrible but right now she was mainly just confused. Alice and Violet stood in the elevator at Stark tower heading up to a level she was very familiar with. The common level shared between avengers. Violet hadn't said anything since Alice pulled into the garage down stairs. Her hands had gone numb with anxiety. Which was kind of stupid. She had been here before. Her mind had not quite comprehended the fact that the avengers wanted her. She was valuable enough as spider-woman that they thought it was a good investment to have her staying in the tower.
The elevator dinged and the doors opened. The familiar face of Natasha turned to her. With warm smiles she welcomed her back. She was stunned into silence. Alice tried to get her to say something
"You're excited to be back, aren't you violet."
Violet nodded and pulled herself from her thoughts "oh yeah, yes." she corrected herself. She was saved from further questions by natasha.
"Is this the part where you leave and I show Violet where she will be sleeping?" she asked Alice in a way that sounded mean but there was no real way you could explain it. Alice took the hint.
"Yes everything seems to be fine here. I should head off." she quickly gathered her stuff rushing to escape Natasha's glare. She turned to violet.
"Would you like to see where you will be staying?" she asked with a smile.
She was surprised when Natasha led her to the elevator and they went up to level 90. Natasha's private level. Well half if it was hers, the other half was Barton's. Her room was a lot nicer than the one she had stayed in last time. If that was even possible. It was decorated in a green theme which made violet question if Natasha had somehow seen her pinterest boards. Given that she was a super spy it wasn't an unreasonable thought. The room had a big window that looked over the city. An afternoon shadow covered this side of the building.
"I tried to stop them from going overboard but well you've met Tony" Natasha shrugged.
"It's perfect, thankyou" she said sincerely.
"I will be in the living room when you have finished putting your stuff away." Natasha closed the door, giving her some privacy. She placed her trash bag of stuff at the end of the bed and went exploring the room. It had everything violet could think that someone would want in their room. A bed, (obviously) a desk where the laptop she used when she had stayed before was plugged in, a bookshelf and reading chair. In Front of the window was a cushioned windowsill. She walked over to the desk and saw that she was left fresh stationary. She smiled at the kind gesture. She walked over to her wardrobe and opened a drawer, surprised when she saw her stark industries sweats had been washed and folded up in the top drawer. She looked back around the room in disbelief. She was suddenly struck by how too perfect it all was. Like someone was about to pop out of the bathroom with a camera saying "got you". She checked the bathroom just in case. She was worried that Natasha would think she was hiding from her and left to find her. She sat in the dining room drinking tea, a second steaming mug sat on the benchtop. Natasha gestured to it when she saw violet.
"I thought we should have a chat about how this is going to go," Natasha said in an unusually soft voice. Violet hesitantly sat down across from her.
"Okay the basics, Happy will give you a lift to and from school so you don't need to worry about that. As you know everyone usually has dinner together on the main floor but if you're not in the mood I thought we could just order in."
"Can we get pizza?" Violet asked softly.
Natasha smiled and nodded.
"You can go pretty much anywhere in the tower except for the industry floors and please don't go into my room unless I ask you to. Let me know if you are planning on leaving the tower and tell me where you will be. That goes for patrolling too. Curfew is eleven on a school night and one on weekends."
