Growing up, my older sister Lilac and I were happy kids. We were only 3 years apart. Lilac's quirk manifested late, so she was behind in controlling it. We discovered quickly that her quirk was an ability to heal.

She never got hurt as a child, which seemed odd with how rough we played. The day i fell into the fire pit was when we discovered her abilities. We had been playing outside on a summer evening, waiting to roast marshmallows. I hit my head and fell straight into the fire. My skin gone, muscle burnt. Lilac freaked out. I managed to pull pool water over slowly to put out the flames covering my body, but not in time to save my skin.

She cried, laying a hand on my undamaged ankle. Within seconds I had regrown new skin. There was no scar left on my body and I was completely fine, stronger even. She was examined by doctors, who decided she should keep her quirk hidden. She wasn't allowed to use it outside of the family and staff at school.

We received a letter a few years before my parents died, requesting Lilac to submit for a quirk examination. The United States government was requiring everyone of age who was listed as quirkless to be examined to ensure correct classification. She had to go, so they discovered her abilities and put them on record. Afterwards, she was sought after by many people. Companies put in bids for her employment, men sought after her for quirk marriages.

This was hard on her and she eventually wouldn't leave the house. My parents moved, we had to stay in a secure neighborhood. They were pros and thankfully could afford it. My father worked rescue as her quirk was a mutation of his. He was able to stabilize and heal small wounds, which was very helpful in disaster situations. My mom, on the other hand, was good at controlling the movement of water. She couldn't produce water like I could or control its state (gas, liquid, solid) like I could. Mine was like an advanced version of her quirk.

When word got out that they had two high-powered daughters with rare abilities, we upped security and only left with our parents or Cassie. I wished that was enough to save my sister. Despite the unrelenting search, they never found a trace of my sister. She was declared dead a year later. They even made her a headstone next to my parents'.

Cassie took it as hard as I did. She spent two weeks at Toshinori's home with me. She wanted to stay longer but had pro duties at home. I sometimes still felt like Lilac was here, watching me from afar. It was a trauma that just wouldn't heal.

I woke up to a phone call at a little after midnight. Aizawa. Enji stirred at the sound of my ringtone. I had announced my return to work later in the afternoon, after Enji and I had some time at home.

I did not expect to be bothered with work so quickly.

"Hello?" I knew Aizawa wasn't meant to be home until next week, but assumed he needed me to check on his apartment.

"Hydraulic, we need you. Villains attacked at the training camp. There's blue flames everywhere." His voice was panicked as he yelled. "The students are still out in the woods." At the sound of the kids in danger, I was out of bed.

"Send me the location, I'll be there as soon as I can." I hung up and rushed to change. Enji got out of bed, looking at me like I was crazy.

"What's wrong, Angel? Come back to bed." His voice was still half-asleep. He padded over to me, trying to pick me up. I pushed his arms away as I found my costume. I started to change, stripping out of his shirt from the night before.

"The kids are in trouble. I have to go." I couldn't explain everything, my phone chirped with Aizawa's text and as I checked it Enji kicked into gear. He changed and was following me out the door.
