Fish out of water

"So Y/N, Lapis can be a bit cold with people that she doesn't know, she has trust issues I guess."

"She can't be that bad, I'm exited to meet her!"

Suddenly I feel a splash of water it my face

"Oops sorry about that" a random voice calls out

I look around to find the source of the voice but I can't see any other person around me.

"Y/N I think you should look up" Greg says as he mysteriously chuckles.

I look up and see a blue blob in the sky, it starts to fly right at me.

I close my eyes and start bracing for impact but it never happens.

I open my eyes to see a light blue gem with dark blue hair standing right in front of me, she looks absolutely gorgeous, I notice the water wing things on her back, was that the thing that splashed me?

"Ar-are you lapis?"

The blue gem opens her mouth "yeah that's me." She looks at Greg "so your the human Greg wants me to "hang out with"?"

"Well yeah, that's me!"

There's a moment of silence between us

Greg opens his mouth and breaks the silence

"Well I'll leave you too it."

Greg waddles away

"So your name is lapis right?"

"Yeah."

"I'm Y/N"

"Ok."

"Listen me and greg-"

Lapis interrupts me

"I really don't care that your friends with greg"

"Me and greg aren't friends though-"

The obviously annoyed lapis interrupts me...again

"So your not Greg's friend? Are you using him or something, because I will not let Greg be used by someone of the likes of you. Why did Greg even want me too meet you?! I-"

I decide to interrupt lapis

"Lapis, Greg and I are getting married"

"What?"

"You see this ring"

I extend my long and crusty finger.

"This is a wedding ring, greg proposed to me, we're getting married next month. Greg wanted me to meet all his friends."

"Oh geez I'm so sorry Y/N, I always assume stuff about others before I get to know them, I had trouble with a gem and because of that I just can't trust others."

"Lapis it's ok, Greg kinda told me about you and your trust issues."

Lapis looks down at the ground

"Can you forgive me, I'm sorry for the outburst"

"Of course I forgive you, can I see your ring?"

"Yeah sure"

I place my whole hand on lapis's hand, she takes a nice long look at the ring

She mumbles under her breath "huh a pink diamond ring"

"Hey grab on to me"

I do as she says, and lapis starts flying while I hold on to her.

*time skip

Lapis lands on a massive hill

"You can let go now Y/N"

I did as lapis said

Lapis walks to the edge of the hill and gestures with her hand to sit next to her, I walk to her.

"Y/N I hope we can be friends"

"Of course Lapis, you seem great, I almost forgot to tell you..your invited to me and Greg's wedding."

"Really?!"

"Yes really!"

"Oh wow Ive been to a gem wedding but never a human wedding, are you two going to fuse like garnet did"

"What- no!"

"Well that's disappointing, but you do that queen."

Lapis and I hung out for hours just talking about life and nature. Lapis is definitely a person I want to be great friends with

"Hey Y/N, it's getting late, Greg's probably missing you, here grab on."

Lapis and me fly away to Greg's van.

"There you are Y/N! I almost thought Lapis took you away forever."

Lapis speaks "That's a good idea Greg, next time I'll take Y/N away, we'll bye Y/N, bye Greg I'll see you."

"So Y/N, do you like Lapis?"

"Are you kidding, she's the best!"

"That's good Y/N, anyways come here"

Greg gives me a nice long kiss on my ring

"Common baby girl let's sleep, tomorrow you can meet peridot"
