Another boring lesson with Max chatting my ear off.
"And then she told me that I'm such a dumbass so I called her a smart ass and then she hit my shoulder and-"
"Maximilian Hart! This is your last warning before you'll get sent to the Headteacher's office!" Miss Hutton roared, the chalk breaking in Stacey's fingers as she had to write the definition of a tragic story.
I knew the answer, however, Stacey wasn't the smartest person and everyone in that room knew, including Stacey herself. Regardless, she didn't care (or just pretended that she didn't). If she was just acting, she'd be an astonishing and very talented actress. She for sure didn't have the brain but she had the beauty: wavy, dirty blonde with light highlights, naturally perfect, thick eyebrows, average forehead, button nose with freckles spread on her cheekbones and nose reaching her forehead and chin, long lashes, green, majestic almond-shaped eyes, an unusually pretty chin and full, pink lips. Perfect. She was perfect."Aurora, wake up!" A painful knock shot through my ears.
I groaned, struggling to sit up. I stood up, maybe a bit too early because my vision started to fade, only seeing black. Instantly, I swerved to the bathroom, turning on the tap and letting the icy water fall on my wrists. It wasn't helping. My legs felt like jelly. It wasn't helping. I attempted not to panic as I knew it'll just be worse and I didn't want anyone to find me in this state. I imagined and replayed the sight in my head if someone found me lying on the bathroom tiles unconscious. While I splashed the water on my pressure points and face, I definitely soaked my sleep shirt because I felt it sticking to my skin with a cold feeling. I then remembered my dream. Only some parts of it like Max and me being back in Miss Hutton's class although I left. I left that school. I pondered and wondered what that dream might've meant that I forgot about someone knocking on my door. My vision was blurry but I could see my room and everything that was in front of me. No black, no fade, just bad vision. Maybe I should get glasses? I thought, the door creaking open and revealing Jameson. He was dressed and all awake. I was in my pyjamas and nearly seconds away from fainting."I told you that I had to tell you something" he plopped down on my messy bed.
The white sheets in pink hearts, too feminine in my opinion but I didn't have anything else. I didn't care about my sheets though, even if they had cute kittens or puppies.I rubbed my face, sitting down on my fluffy carpet, playing with it. I saw one of my cats- Mila- ponder into the room. Her paws white and her fur ginger. She was old, like super old about ten years old. I stroked her and put her on my lap, Jameson sighed.
"This is like serious business" his voice was actually serious but it was too early for me to be serious.
"More serious than me granting my cat with my own love that I don't really show or throw out to someone?" I laughed out, hugging Mila.
Jameson didn't look happy so I cleared my throat, placing Mila down. He nodded, as if to say thank you and started to explain all about his grandfather and how his brothers' second names were places and how his grandfather left them clues and he wanted to solve it and bla bla. Too complicated and too early! Okay, it was ten am but still!"Wait, so you want to go to the Blackwood forest?" I questioned, in shock.
He nodded with a smirk."Do you know how many trees Blackwood has?"
"Four hundred approximately."
"You're crazy... I'm in."
"Really?! Okay, so we want to go there tomorrow."
"Call me and I'll swing by."
Jameson jumped up and embraced me into a hug, I smiled though my sight was still blurry. Was this temporary or not? I questioned myself hoping that something or someone would answer but of course the voice was asleep... or dead?{704 words}
