The walls of three tall buildings surrounded her, eating her alive. Cornered. The blonde was cornered as her attacker rounded the corner after her. Even with her breathing stopped and her heart in her throat, she asked a simple question,
"W-Who the hell are you?" the attacker's face became clearer. She was a brunette around the age of sixteen or seventeen, wearing a black shirt and rugged blue jeans. She looked up at her victim, wielding a sharpened knife in hand
"Samantha Grey," just the name had made the victim shake in fear. The brunette leaned closer wondering how she became this monster, this thing. Suddenly, the memories came back to her, but they weren't so sweet.
{Samantha's POV}
I refused to go to school, for it scared me, everything did now. Ever since the car wreck, I hated doing anything that involved leaving my mother and father or anything that involved cars. I was also afraid of how Brooke would think of me when I would bump into things due to my lack of a right eye. I touched the eye patch that replaced my light blue eye and cursed under my breath as my mom drove me to school, moving slowly to keep me from hyperventilating. We were there in a flash even though I prayed it would've taken us longer. First thing I did when I walked into the high school was get yelled at, but I wasn't expecting the whole school to scream
"ONE EYED SAM IS HERE!" I already knew who told everyone to say that. Dillon Everly.
I walked to my locker
"Sam?" I turned to see Brooke, my friend. I looked away quickly, I knew she would notice my eye patch, the stitch that ran from my forehead to my cheek, my ugliness. Brooke touched my shoulder lightly
"What do you want?" I growled at her angrily. Brooke stayed quiet for a little while
"I wanted to know if your okay-"
"Yes Brooke," I murmured "I am just so fucking dandy," I watched Brooke's surprised face Thanks for asking," I slammed my locker, hurrying to my homeroom. I knew this was going to be a bad day.

I rushed through the day. I ignored everyone except for when my teachers asked me for answers or when they tell me the homework I missed. I also walked home, still ignoring Brooke by not taking the bus. I only stopped once and that was when an unfamiliar voice caught me
"Sam? Samantha!" A male voice called behind me. I zipped around to see a black haired boy running up to me "God, you walk fast," he breathed as if he ran a mile
"Do I know you?"
"I'm Andy," he held out his hand for me to shake it. I reluctantly did and he gave me a sweet smile "Brooke told me about you, Sam," he laughed at my confusion
"Are you new here?"
"No, I'm in Brooke's neighborhood, I'm home-schooled," he answered quickly. I felt like pushing the hair off his right eye, for it had been sticking down and covered it up "What happened to you eye?" I froze and hesitated to ask. I could see the regret clouding in Andy's eyes "Sorry if I-"
"No, it alright," I broke him off "I just got out of the hospital from a car wreck," my voice was tiny and he followed me as I walked home "Aren't you from Brooke's neighborhood?"
"I'm just exploring," he looked at the houses that littered the road as I walked into mine that looked exactly the same as the others. Andy waved to me "See you later?"
"Yeah, Bye"
