(A/N)
Hello again everyone, I just wanted to give y'all a heads up that I will be writing the story in a more novel format because it's easier for me and it's probably easier to follow too. Another thing, expect many references to appear.

But before I continue with the story, something has been bugging me for a while. I have already written two chapters dedicated to the development of Issei's and Rias' relationship. Yet, I have harem tagged in the story. I thought it would be nice to leave it up to you guys in a poll. So, should Issei have...

One lover: Rias

Small harem: 2-4 lovers

Large harem: 5+ lovers

Poll closes in 30 days, so make sure to get those votes in! But, we can worry about that later. For now, let's finish the Riser arc with Issei Vs. Riser!

Some time has passed since Issei entered the battlefield. Now, he and Riser had been battling to finish the rating game. Riser had heavy reliance on his flames and regeneration, making the fight one sided.
"You know, if you had been training instead of sitting on your ass getting your rocks off to your own peerage all day, your punches might hit a little closer to home," he mocked. Riser began to swing harder, but with even less precision than before. "Shut up, just shut up!" Riser couldn't escape his anger as he swung more and more with no success. Issei only dodged and parried his attacks with no sign of a counter in mind. However, what did come to his mind, was nothing but overwhelming disappointment. 'This is getting us nowhere,' He thought. 'My expectations were low from the start, but this is well beyond what I imagined.' He then place his palm flat on Riser's chest and pushed him back. Riser stumbled a bit, but remained on his feet. He continued to glare at the young sith and kept his fist tightly clenched. Issei spoke up again,
"Is this really all you can muster? I know you're trying to put up a fight, well not really a fight, more like, flailing angrily." The latest taught from Issei only served to fuel Riser's deteriorating sense of reason.
"What's your point?!", he snarled in response. Issei dropped his smirk and expanded on his dissatisfaction. "As a member of the Phoenix family, you should be capable of so much more than this. To be quite frank, this display is embarrassing." Riser growled again and was almost ready to launch straight back into the fight, but kept what little composure he had left and shouted questions instead.
"What do you know of my family?! Of my power?!" "I used to study many things in my rare moments of free time at the academy," Issei explained. "To defeat your enemy, you must understand them first. I just so happened to have studied all three remaining pure devil houses, so I know how you fight, and the things that get under your skin." Issei's sinister smile returned, but a purple fog began to enclose the battlefield. Riser turned in confusion, as the fog blocked his vision of the things it had already consumed. Issei chuckled at Riser, making him turn back to face Issei. "Let's see if you can handle this, try not to lose every sense of reason you have left." He said ominously, as a small part of the fog consumed him, but when it moved forward, Issei had vanished. Riser immediately put up his guard, as he frantically swung his head in every direction in an attempt to see his opponent. He heard that sinister laughter once again as it echoed through the fog. "You should have listened to me from the beginning Riser." Issei's voice echoed like his laugh. "Now, I will quell that arrogance of yours. Hahaha!" Riser continued to looking for Issei with no success, soon getting impatient and started firing blind attacks into the fog. He grew more and more frustrated with every miss, when he suddenly heard a familiar voice.
"Brother." The voice called. He glanced in the direction where Issei once stood, only to see his sister Ravel, quivering and with tears streaming down her face. "What are you doing up here Ravel?", he questioned, "It's too dangerous, get back." But she didn't respond to his command. Instead she spoke again, "I'm sorry brother.", she choked out. Riser was confused but strangely scared too. He began to approach her, but before he knew what was going on, a crimson blade impaled her through the chest. Riser was immediately frozen in shock, unable to process what just happened. The blade moved downward and tossed Ravel's lifeless body down into the thick fog, making it vanish completely. In this motion, her murderer was revealed.
"Tch tch tch, such a shame. She had good potential too, she just had to get in the way." Issei mocked.
He looked back up to meet Riser, who is still frozen. Issei smiled, "I've lost track of how many times I've seen that face before. The look of someone seeing the one they care for the most slaughtered right in front of them. That look as always been absolutely priceless, no matter who has it. Heh heh." Issei mocked Riser again knowing what he was thinking. "But no matter what kind of reaction they have," he then pointed his lightsaber at Riser, "they at least get to reunite with that person soon."

But Riser didn't hear any of it. His power began to rise quicker than it ever had before. Emotions that he never knew he had started to boil to the surface. That's when his flames exploded in all directions, like an aura of pure heat. He screamed at the top of his lungs in anger, hatred, sadness and grief. His wings changed from a mess of lazy flames made to look like wings, into the shape of real wings made entirely out of fire. His hair stood on end as if a fire place was sitting on the top of his head. Finally, his eyes became flames. All the way from his pupils to the whites looked like hot magma was flowing through them. He shouted back at Issei.
"I will kill you!! You must die by my hand!!" Issei however, instead of being shocked or surprised, he was amused. "A transformation huh? He must of taken my advice for once." Issei spread his arms out to his sides with his palms pointed at Riser.
"Hmph, I'd like to see you try! But if you insist, show me what you can do!"
Riser dashed in toward Issei, his fist coated in hot flames. Issei side stepped out of the way, but Riser turned back quickly with another punch, this time it was faster. Riser attacked non stop at Issei with each attack before faster and stronger, as well as his flames getting hotter. Issei began to parry with his lightsaber knowing that the fire was strong enough to protect Riser. It had seemed that the cycle of Riser attacked and Issei masterfully dodging or blocking had only continued with the transformation, but that was when Issei performed a precise swing to cut of Riser's arm. But instead of regenerating like he usually does, he reformed his arm made out of flames.
"Fascinating." Issei said blankly. Riser went in again with more speed and more power. He kept attacking with no sign of slowing down or tiring out. Unfortunately for him, he would have to.
"I've seen enough, I'm satisfied." He then released a fraction of his power in the form of a devastating aura. His scarlet energy filled the entire area, dissipating both the fog and Riser's transformation. Riser fell onto one knee, the toll of his power starting to weigh on him. Issei got up close to him, and pointed his lightsaber in front of his face.
"You fought well, now yield." Riser looked back up in anger and stared back at him. "Not after you murdered my sister! I won't stop until you are dead!"
Issei shook his head. "What you saw wasn't real. Look." He pointed out to the courtyard where his apprentice finished his fight with Riser's peerage. There Riser saw his sister, alive and unharmed. Riser's eyes shot wide open.
"But, but how? She couldn't be..." "You're eyes do not deceive you. What you saw earlier was a meer illusion. A catalyst to awaken your true power."
Riser had a genuine smile on his face for the first time in many years. Tears began to run down his cheeks and onto the roof.
"If Ravel truly is alive, then I see no need to continue fighting. I surrender."
With Riser's declaration, Grafia came over the loud speaker.
"Riser Phoenix has surrendered. Lord Veyron is the victor!"
Issei deactivated his saber and hovered down to the ground. Matsuda ran to meet with him.
"That was amazing! You really showed that chicken shit what for!" Issei laughed lightly.
"That I did." His allies came too to commend him on his style and strength. Issei looked over his shoulder to see Riser embracing his sister Ravel. He called over to them.
"Riser!" Riser looked back up at him. "Till we meet again warrior." Riser smiled and nodded. Issei and his fighters were teleported back to the club room on earth. The entire ORC was there to congratulate Issei and Matsuda. Both Asia and Raynare went over to Matsuda to tell him how incredible he did in the fight, making him flustered. Rias held Issei in a tight embrace.
"Thank you, thank you so much." Issei smiled. "Was there any doubt." Rias loosened her hug to look at him. "I suppose not." Issei let go of her. "There is something I would like to do real fast. I need you and the ORC to stand near the walls of the room for a minute."
Rias nodded and motioned her peerage to stand away from the center. Issei looked to his group, and they knew what to do. They formed a square around the center and Issei stood in front of the desk.
"My apprentice." He held out his hand to Matsuda, to which Matsuda kneeled in the middle. "You fought brilliantly, and have embraced my teaching. You will now receive your reward."
All the Sith Warriors ignited their weapons, each being unique. Baki's was a staff that recommended a use of two hands, and had a single blade. Claire's was a traditional single bladed saber, but hers was purple instead of red. Asta's saber had a curved hilt, making his fighting style unpredictable and difficult to counter. Kefla had two single bladed lightsabers. Akame's saber had a hilt and blade mimicking a traditional Japanese katana. Lastly, Tiamat had three lightsabers that had a black center instead of white, due to her chaos powers. All three hovered around her with the use of the force. Then, Issei activated his, a traditional double bladed lightsaber. They all pointed their sabers at Matsuda, with Issei deactivating one side of his and used the other to put it over Matsuda's right shoulder, than his left, and the over his head. "By the power of the sith, by the will of the force, my apprentice has completed his path to the new sith, and shall henceforth be known to all, as Darth... Vader."
