Two weeks had passed after the Riser fight, and the regular school routine had gone on per usual for Issei and Rias' crew. But Matsuda, the newly appointed Sith Lord, was unable to focus on his studies. He had headaches most of the day, followed by a feeling that something was off. He wasn't sure as to why he felt it, he just knew that it hurt for some reason. 'I will have to talk to Issei about what I'm feeling right now. If I'm sensing this, there's a guarantee that he is too.' He thought. Just then, as if on cue, a girl on the loudspeaker made an announcement. "Will the student Matsuda, please report to the ORC club room? Matsuda, please report the the ORC curb room at this time." 'Speak of the devil.' He mused. He gathered his books and made his way to the club room. 'Wonder why he called me in so early, there are two periods left.'
It took a few minutes to get to the old school building, considering he was on the far end of the new building. When he got up to the door where the club meets, he made sure to knock on the door to make sure he was already there. The man he was expecting was the one to answer. "Enter." Matsuda heard the voice with no emotion, thinking that his master must mean business. As he walked into the room, the first thing he saw was Issei, with a cup of tea in his hand. He was sitting on the left couch with his eyes shut as he took a sip of his tea, and motioned Matsuda to sit on the other couch with his own cup waiting on the table. Matsuda followed the instruction and made his way to his seat. When he finally sat down, he sipped his tea and Issei opened his eyes. Matsuda was the first to speak, "You summoned me master?" He asked. "Yes, there are a multitude of things you and I must discuss and look over." He replied. He then pulled out a pack of cigars and took out two, one he lit for himself self and the npother he offered to Matsuda. "Oh no thanks, I don't want to do any damage to myself." Matsuda waved his hands as he said so. Issei smirked at the response. "Your training in the force would naturally protect you, besides, you're thinking of cigarettes. Cigars don't have any addictive properties."
Matsuda took the cigar from Issei's hand. "If you say so." Issei then lighted the cigar with his finger, and Matsuda took his first smoke of. He coughed a little, this being his first time smoking anything. "You'll get used to it eventually, now we can get down to business."
Issei exhaled smoke from his mouth. "I'll start with this, what I told you about the rule of two was a half-truth. The rule of two states that there can only be two Sith at a time, a master and an apprentice."
Matsuda lifted his eyebrow in confusion. "Isn't that what you said when we first met?" Issei shook his head. "I said Sith Lord, the truth is that you and I are the only real Sith in existence." He takes another puff. "I already told Rias about that, she originally thought I was protecting the empire's growth when I said that I was the only Sith upon introduction, when in reality I was telling the truth."
Matsuda sat back in the couch and scratched his head. "So what about the others? Tiamat, Asta, and the rest?" He asked puzzled about their role in the empire.
Issei responded blankly. "They are dark side force users that choose to serve me."
At the mention of the phrase "dark side", Matsuda was further confused. "What do you mean by dark side?"
Issei placed the top of his cigar and put it out in the ash tray on the table. "That is a topic I was going to discuss after this one, but we will save it for later. For now, I will tell you the true story of how the rule of two came to be."
He conjured a cloud that hovered above the center table. A vision of the past came into view, and it looked like a grave yard. Above the ground in the vision, multiple people were fighting and fighting hard. Each and every blow looked like it carried the weight of a mountain.
Matsuda looked back at his master. "What is this? It looks intense."
Issei kept his eyes on the vision when he responded. "It should, this is the battle that ended the Great War. The biblical factions and the sith, against the two heavenly dragons."
