Taehyung's POV:

I'm losing my mind now

Every time I stay with her, which is all the time mostly, my heart races at an abnormal pace. I couldn't fathom why it happens. Just like the Carole of her expressions, this also fascinated me. The beating of my heart was at an unusual speed. A mystery I couldn't understand. She was there plucking some fruits out from the tree and I was speculating about her from a bit far. She wanted to go for an outing so that's why we're here. Every time she asks me anything I can't bring myself to say no to her these days. And If I somehow managed to argue with her but she still could convince me. It's just when she talks with me I focus on her eyes. The light I see in them fascinates me. And every time I refuse her for something, the light in her eyes dims and it stings me. Every time pang of hurt was pinpointed in my heart. I know nothing about what was between us. But with her around me I felt lighter, I felt warm. I seldom smile. I think about ways to keep that light inside her eyes brighter. She felt like a ray of light in the abyss of my darkness. Her eyes caught mine and I noticed a hint of pink shading on her cheeks. She threw an apple toward me and I caught it right in time. A chuckle left her lips and it made my heart ecstatic. That same heart that was dead years ago was now beating and feeling. Which was a miracle for me on its own. She leaped up, trying to catch an apple at the tallest branch. Subconsciously my feet took me to her and I picked her up. Her muscles tensed up and went rigid.

She hesitated and reluctantly plucked the apple. I put her back on the ground. She muttered an awkward 'Thank you'. Her eyes traveled to mine and seemed brighter than usual. Being drawn to them, I felt myself leaning down to her length. Her lips parted and she closed her eyes. I so badly wanted to touch them, to devour them. I had been suppressing this persistent desire to hold her, to touch her. A growl left and I closed my eyes in frustration. I moved back reluctantly. Her explicit embarrassment was contagious. I cleared my throat and motioned her to go back. She looked disappointed but she didn't argue. I'm reluctant to this temptation because of some old wounds that left a great scar on my whole existence. That completely changed my world. I looked at her retreating, forcing my feet to stay still. I need to feed my curiosity before things get out of my control.

I was lying just outside the chapel. Her soft breathing warmed my heart. The night was silent like always but today something was different in the air. It wasn't lonely like always. It had a company. A rather comfortable one.

"Moon must look beautiful from up close," she exclaimed with a sigh, "I'm so envious of you! Of your wings, you can fly at any length and see the moon up close." She was aware of my presence and a sense of serenity suffused in me.

"It is! Magnificent," I admitted. I didn't hear anything from her side which made me impatient and worried. I stood up and opened the door only to see her gazing at the moon. A smile dangling on her lips. The admiration her eyes hold made me envious of the moon.

"Wanna see it?" I asked. She looked flabbergasted. She hesitantly nodded and it was a matter of time before we both were up in the air. Her face twinkled under the moonlight. An exquisite sight. Her eyes were shut closed mightily.

"Don't worry I won't let you get hurt" I coaxed and I felt her muscles getting relaxed. She slowly opened her eyes, gazing at me intently. I jerked my chin as she turned towards the moon. An ecstatic smile danced upon her lips. Her eyes twinkled with those twinkling stars. 'Beautiful' was everything that came out.

We both sat on a branch, appraising the moon silently. Looking at her made me happy. I felt something I can't quite name it. Her smile sent my heart beating in a marathon. She looked at me.
